Wynberg Cricket

Keith Cricket and WBHS proudly hosted Sussex County Cricket Club for their pre-season training camp in Cape Town. The team, accompanied by batting coach and Zimbabwean Cricket legend, Grant Flower, had the use of our high-performance gymnasium, the Jacques Kallis Indoor Centre, and the JK Oval in the mornings this week.

Sussex finished 4th in last season's county championship and is looking for a top 3 finish this year. Wynberg wishes Sussex CC a wonderful week ahead as they head to Rondebosch Cricket Club and grab some time to explore "The Fairest Cape". Good luck in the season ahead!

And that’s the league fixtures completed for Term 1, 2026 – with a memorable 6-wicket win for ’s 1st XI in the season-closing 50 over match vs SACS on the Jacques Kallis Oval. team captain Michail Tarentaal signed off on the game with a confident 60 not out. Great win, chaps🏏🏏🏏

Sunday, 1 March 26: in congratulating Paul James, Matric 2025, on his professional debut for North West in the CSA One-Day Cup, Division 1. 4 days earlier, Paul was playing for the South Africa Emerging side in division two of the same tournament.
