DERBY DAY ENDS IN A GOALESS DRAW

SCAW Rangers FC 0-0 Chimwemwe chiefs football club

It was a nil all draw this afternoon at Wusakile Secondary School ground as the metals welcomed the the royal chiefs of Chimwemwe.
In a tightly contested affair both teams poor form in front of goal meant that there was no mistake from either side to conceeded a goal.

Up next is a mid week fixture this coming Wednesday away in chingola against Chingola Police Blue Stars Football Club.

Our boys go out in search for that first win of the season and we are very confident they will deliver.

MUTUAL SEPARATION AS GAFFER CHILEKWA LEAVES SCAW RANGERS FC.

Following an away draw on Sunday 8th October 2023, a meeting was held between Head Coach Chilekwa and Club Vice president Mr Chanda. Following the the meeting both parties mutually agreed that it was in the best interest of both parties to go separate ways.

Coach Chilekwa joined the club in 2019 when the club was in Division 4 and guided the club to the 3rd Division winning the league. In his second season Coach Chilekwa guided the club to the 2nd division and resigned at the end end of the season. After the Coach's departure the Metals missed out on promotion to division 1. Gaffer Chilekwa returned to the club half way through the previous season after 18 months of being away from the club and guided the club to Provincial Division 1 finishing second.
The start of this season has seen the Metals record 2 losses and 4 draws from their opening 6 fixtures.

Coach Chilekwa issued the following statement on his departure.

"To attach much more respect to our coaching profession; there is need for us as Coaches to fully apply professional arrogance. I have enjoyed 3 good years of success in my both stints with this club I have loved so deeply. I was very much certain of taking this club forward but in the end the executive and I had to separate visions and anything with two heads eventually becomes a monster. It was best to separate while both parties still had
each others respect. Perhaps the hardest part was how to face my players with this news, especially having shared a very close relationship with them and I saw how they gave everything for each game; it was so had for them to handle to almost a point of chaos but I was firm that a decision was already made and they had to take it as men. I said to them I will never forget our last game Neelkanth lime FC that even the opposing fun appluded you boys for your display. Finally thanks to Coach Mutale Kambatizee Mbebeta who came in at the right time as my right hand nan and together formed a very formidable partnership and together we look forward to another challenge in the near future. Thanks to the club President for the opportunity and the funs for their unwaivering support. Wish club all the very best for the future as the team we assembled will achieve anything with the right support, management and motivation."

Up next the metals host Chimwemwe chiefs football club this coming Saturday and the Metals are to record a victory following their last display. Former Goal keeper Coach Jimmy Mugwede has taken charge of the team will lead the team going forward. We wish Coach Jimmy all the very best as he drives this ship forward.

HOW WE LINEUP TODAY AGAINST Police Blue Eagles FC

METALS THROW AWAY LEAD TO LOSE 2-1.

Copperbelt Buffaloes fc 2-1 SCAW RANGERS FC

Enerst Chileshe gave the metals the lead in the 36th minute as it was one nil in favor of the the away team at half time.
However, two quick goals conceeded in the 52nd and 56th minute respectively were enough for the wounded buffalos to win the match.
It was a game the metals controlled and did not know what had hit them in quick succession. Within the blink of an eye the metals 🔥 realized just what it takes to become of age.

"The boys had a good game and it is a case of so close yet so far away. It is just a matter of time before we eventually get it right but we need to work on the mental strength of our boys and one positive result should be enough to help us. We need to improve and work extremely hard. It is still very early in the season and we are slowly putting peaces together for the long term." Vincent Chilekwa

Lewis Chikumbi Jr. set to make first appearance this season as the Metals seek to become of age.

SCAW RANGERS FC 0-1 KONKOLA MINE POLICE FC

FIRST HOME DEFEAT FOR THE METALS.

The metals lost on home soil for the first time this season by a goal to nil after missing numerous chances in front of goal.

The metals seemed to be in control of the game through out the first half as well as the second half until a goal keeping error in the 67th caused the metals to conceed. The metals tried to fight back in search of an equlizer abeit to no avail as their fishing touch is much less to be desired.

We caught up with the gaffer here is what he had to say,

"Where do we even start from? Football can be so cruel sometimes and today is one of those times. It is so difficult to accept this result especially considering how controlled this game in both halves. But in football results can be so random and we have to quickly regroup and move on. It is still early on in the season and true champion must show character after defeat. I love the intensity and resilience these have and today have sustained a deep wound. These are still young boys who will learning from their mistakes and job is to help them. We know exactly what we need to work on starting this Monday and we will be ready for the next game."
