🚨OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON ZAMBIA’S PARTICIPATION IN THE HOCKEY AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS – ISMAILIA , EGYPT
The Zambia Hockey Association wishes to update the public, stakeholders, and partners on the progress of preparations for the national teams’ participation in the upcoming Hockey Africa Cup of Nations, Ministry of Sport, the Government approved the facilitation of flights for the delegation. However, we submitted our budget to be supported for flights and accommodation,
we have been informed that accommodation costs must be settled by the association before air tickets can be purchased.

With the team scheduled to depart today on 9th October 2025, and our first match set for 11th October 2025 playing defending champions South Africa, we are urgently seeking to raise K500,000 to cover the required accommodation payments and secure the team’s travel arrangements from the Ministry. Meanwhile the association has managed to source for Visa, insurance, playing kit, truck suits, and participation fee.

The Zambia Hockey Association continues to engage with the Ministry of Sport and the National Sports Council of Zambia to ensure that the necessary support is provided in time. We remain hopeful that, with collective effort, our national teams will proudly represent Zambia at this prestigious continental event.
We appeal once again to the corporate world, private sector, and well-wishers to come forward and assist us in meeting these critical costs. Every contribution will directly support the players and staff who have worked tirelessly in preparation for this tournament.

What a night for the Springfield Hockey Club! The team absolutely shined at the recent awards and fundraising dinner organized by *ZAMBIA HOCKEY ASSOCIATION* , bringing home some BIG wins and raking in support for local hockey!

- *ZHA FEMALE MVP HONORS*: MERCY MUTAMBO’ took home the "Most female Valuable Player" award for an AMAZING season!

5 years down, our U14 boys still putting in serious effort with what looks like a great progression, this year they have made it six (6) times IN TULINGS YOUTH SPORTS CHALLENGE GLAND-FINALE. It has been a great dominant performance from the boys.🏑🏑💪

Former captain AMOS SILAVWE from the left hand of the portrait he tooked over from coach GODFREY this year, coached the U12 boys and successfully won It 🏆 ,Who is now this year leading the U14 boys team. He has not yet lost any game in 7 league fixtures and playing the FINAL LATER THIS YEAR.

It has been a great year for our club with so much teamwork, resilience despite some challenges and difficulties in financial status, training equipments . We managed to get all necessary results we wanted not just winning trophies but ensuring players get positive support in their growth in off field activities such academics, We have lots of people for, to mention a few, To all our players, sponsors,Zambia Hockey Association our Parents and coaches , we couldn't make it without you, your effort and support has been the great back born to the growing of this club.Thank you to our Management team for putting up the club's standards.
