🔴 LIVERPOOL'S INTERNATIONAL BREAK IS STARTING TO GET SERIOUS…

The international break was supposed to give Liverpool a chance to reset.

Instead, we're now starting to worry about what could come back with the players.

Alexander Isak has withdrawn from Sweden duty with a minor thigh injury.
And that immediately raises a huge question:

HOW IMPORTANT IS ISAK TO LIVERPOOL RIGHT NOW?

We saw against Bournemouth exactly why Liverpool need him.

The performance wasn't spectacular. The attack wasn't flowing perfectly.

But when the decisive moment came, Isak delivered.

One goal.

Three points.

And another reminder of why Liverpool invested so heavily in him.

Now imagine Liverpool returning from this international break without a fully fit Isak.

That's a completely different situation.

And it's not just about Isak.

Gakpo has also been involved with the Netherlands. Wirtz is with Germany. Barcola and Jacquet are with France. Szoboszlai and Kerkez are with Hungary.

Liverpool have players travelling everywhere.

The bigger concern isn't the international football itself.

It's what condition everyone comes back in.

Because Liverpool's next Premier League game is Manchester City at Anfield.

🔥 And that isn't a game where Iraola will have weeks to prepare his strongest XI.

Liverpool need everyone ready.

So here's my question:

Would you rather Liverpool's international players get maximum minutes and maintain their rhythm…

OR

Would you rather their national teams protect them and bring them back fresh for Liverpool?

And specifically:

If Isak isn't 100% fit against Manchester City, do you still start him?

👇 Let's debate it.

🚨 IF MANCHESTER CITY ARE FOUND GUILTY… WHAT HAPPENS TO THEIR TITLES?

This is one of the biggest questions surrounding the Premier League's 115 charges.

If Manchester City's Premier League titles were retrospectively stripped and the league decided to award those championships to the original runners-up, the history books could look very different.

🔴 LIVERPOOL
🏆 2013/14 — runners-up to City
🏆 2018/19 — runners-up to City
🏆 2021/22 — runners-up to City

That could theoretically mean 3 additional Premier League titles for Liverpool.

🔴 MANCHESTER UNITED
🏆 2011/12
🏆 2017/18
🏆 2020/21

🔴 ARSENAL
🏆 2022/23

But here's the important part: none of these titles have been transferred, and being runners-up does not automatically mean a club would be declared champion. Any retrospective changes would depend on the independent commission's ruling and the sanctions ultimately imposed.

Still, imagine the historical impact…

Liverpool's 2018/19 season point 97 points could theoretically be recorded very differently.

And the 2021/22 title race? Liverpool finished just one point behind City.

👀 If City were stripped of those titles, should the runners-up automatically receive them, or should the seasons simply have no champion?

👇 Let's debate it.

🔴 THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK COULDN'T HAVE COME AT A BETTER TIME FOR LIVERPOOL

Forget transfers.

Forget individual players for a moment.

This international break gives Andoni Iraola something extremely valuable: TIME.

Liverpool have started the season unbeaten, but there are still obvious questions about how this team is supposed to play.
The defence has shown improvement.

The mentality has been good.

But the attack still hasn't completely clicked.

And now Iraola has time to work on it.

🧠 WHAT SHOULD HE FIX?

1️⃣ THE MIDFIELD BALANCE

Liverpool need a midfield that can protect the defence AND give the attackers freedom.

Too often the team looks disconnected between midfield and attack.

2️⃣ THE ATTACKING CHEMISTRY

Isak, Wirtz, Gakpo and Barcola have enormous quality.

But quality on paper means nothing if the movement and combinations aren't working.

They need to start understanding each other's movements.

3️⃣ HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF WIRTZ

This one is tactical.

If Wirtz can produce a completely different level for Germany, Liverpool need to ask what they're doing differently.

Don't just blame the player.

Find the environment that allows the player to perform.

4️⃣ BARCOLA'S ROLE

Liverpool didn't spend big money on Barcola to simply be another body in the attack.

His pace should be used to stretch defences and create space for Isak and the players arriving centrally.

5️⃣ WHAT HAPPENS AFTER LIVERPOOL SCORE?

This might be the biggest one.

Liverpool need to learn how to control games after taking the lead instead of allowing opponents back into the match.

🔥 AND THEN COMES MANCHESTER CITY.

Liverpool return from the international break against Manchester City at Anfield on October 11.

That gives Iraola roughly three weeks to work with the players who remain at Kirkby before the internationals return.

So when Liverpool walk onto that pitch against City, I don't necessarily want to see a completely different team.

I want to see a clearer version of the same team.

Better structure.

Better pressing.

Better attacking combinations.

Better control.

Because the international break isn't just a break.

For Iraola, it's preparation time.

🔴 LIVERPOOL FANS if you were Iraola, what is the ONE thing you'd spend these three weeks fixing?

👇 Don't say transfers. Give me a tactical problem.

🔴 INTERNATIONAL BREAK: WHAT IS LIVERPOOL STILL MISSING?

Liverpool go into the international break unbeaten under Andoni Iraola, with three consecutive Premier League clean sheets. On paper, that sounds encouraging.

But if we look beyond the results, there is one major question:

Where is the connection between Liverpool’s midfield and attack?

Against Bournemouth, Liverpool eventually found a way to win, but the performance showed the same problem we’ve seen in parts of the season too many talented players, but not enough consistent attacking flow.

Wirtz is struggling to influence games. Isak is scoring, but he still needs better and more regular service. Barcola has the pace to destroy defenders, but pace means little if Liverpool cannot consistently put him into space.

And that brings us to the midfield.

Liverpool need someone who can control the tempo, protect the defence and consistently move the ball forward under pressure. When that connection is missing, the front three can look isolated and the team becomes dependent on individual moments.

Look at the Bournemouth goal. Gakpo created the danger, Wirtz was involved in the sequence and Isak finished it. That's the kind of connection Liverpool need to see more often not once every few games.

There are positives too. Three straight league clean sheets show that the defensive structure is improving, and Isak has already scored four Premier League goals this season.

But Liverpool can't rely on “someone will produce a moment” every week.

The real challenge for Iraola during this international break is finding the system that makes these expensive attacking players work together, rather than simply putting talented individuals on the pitch.

Because maybe Liverpool aren't lacking talent.

Maybe they're lacking chemistry.

And if Iraola finds that chemistry, this team could look completely different.

🔴 What do you think Liverpool are missing most right now:

A️⃣ A proper controlling midfielder
B️⃣ Better service from midfield
C️⃣ More movement from the attackers
D️⃣ A settled tactical system
E️⃣ Something else?

Let's debate. 👇

🔴🔥 THE WIRTZ PROBLEM ARE LIVERPOOL AFRAID TO DROP HIM?

Let’s have the conversation Liverpool fans don't want to have.
Florian Wirtz has not been good enough.

There. I said it.

Yes, he's talented.

Yes, he was involved in the goal against Bournemouth.

Yes, Liverpool spent huge money on him.

But none of that means he should automatically start every game.

Against Bournemouth, Liverpool needed more creativity. More intensity. More control.

And Wirtz didn't provide enough of it.

So here's the uncomfortable question:

IS IRAOLA TOO AFRAID TO DROP WIRTZ?

Because if Liverpool are serious about competing at the highest level, nobody should be undroppable.

Not Isak.

Not Gakpo.

Not Wirtz.

Not anyone.

If another player produces more in training and fits the tactical plan better, play him.

Maybe Wirtz needs time.

Maybe the system isn't getting the best out of him.

Maybe he's being asked to play a role that doesn't suit him.

Or maybe Liverpool simply need to accept that £100m doesn't guarantee a starting place.

And here's where it gets really interesting…

Liverpool have Barcola, Gakpo, Isak and other attacking options.

So why keep forcing the same attacking structure if it's not clicking?

🔥 Should Wirtz start the next game?

YES give him time to find his rhythm.

OR

NO drop him and make him fight for his place.

I want honest opinions.

👇 Liverpool fans: if Wirtz wasn't a £100m signing, would you still be demanding that he starts every game?

🔴 LIVERPOOL 1–0 BOURNEMOUTH THE DEEP ANALYSIS

Liverpool got the three points, but let's be honest this wasn't a perfect performance.

And maybe that's exactly why this win is important.

🔥 WINNING WITHOUT PLAYING YOUR BEST

Liverpool didn't dominate Bournemouth from start to finish. There were periods where Bournemouth looked dangerous and Liverpool had to defend, stay patient and trust their structure.

But this time, Liverpool didn't panic.
They found a way to win.

That ability to take three points even when the football isn't perfect could become extremely important over the course of the season.

🎯 ISAK: ONE CHANCE, ONE GOAL

Alexander Isak continues to show why Liverpool wanted him.

He wasn't constantly involved, but when the opportunity came, he was in the right place at the right time.

That's what you want from an elite striker.
Give him one moment and he can decide the game.

⚡ GAKPO DESERVES CREDIT

The goal wasn't just about Isak.
Gakpo's work on the right created the situation in the first place. His ability to carry the ball, beat his man and deliver into dangerous areas gives Liverpool another attacking dimension.
Liverpool need more moments like that.

🧠 IRAOLA STILL HAS WORK TO DO
This is probably the biggest takeaway.
Liverpool are still adapting to Iraola's football.
The pressing isn't always coordinated. The midfield balance isn't always perfect. And Liverpool still need to become more consistent at breaking down organised defences.

But that's the process.
We're seeing a team that is still learning how to play its manager's football.

🧤 ALISSON'S SAVE MATTERED

People will remember Isak's goal.
But don't forget Alisson.
That early intervention kept Liverpool in the game and prevented Bournemouth from gaining momentum.

Sometimes one save can completely change the direction of a match.

🛡️ THE CLEAN SHEET MATTERS

Liverpool didn't need to produce a defensive masterclass.

They simply needed to remain disciplined after taking the lead.

Bournemouth pushed, but Liverpool managed the pressure and protected the advantage.
That's another positive.

🔥 WIRTZ STILL NEEDS TO FIND HIS RHYTHM
Wirtz wasn't at his best today.
But judging him too quickly would be a mistake.

He was still involved in the build-up to the winning goal, and Liverpool need to find the best way to get him consistently influencing games.

The talent is there.
Now it's about finding the right role and chemistry.

🔴 THE BIGGER PICTURE

This Liverpool team isn't finished.
There are still questions about the midfield balance, chance creation and consistency in the press.

But there are also signs of progress.

✅ Unbeaten
✅ Isak scoring
✅ Gakpo contributing
✅ Clean sheet
✅ Alisson making big saves
✅ Winning away from home
✅ Learning how to win difficult games

Sometimes you don't need to destroy your opponent.
Sometimes you just need to find a way.
Liverpool found a way today.

And if Iraola can continue improving the performance while keeping these results coming, this team could become very interesting.

🔴 ONE QUESTION FOR LIVERPOOL FANS:

Was this a good professional away win, or did Liverpool get away with a performance that needs serious improvement?

After the 3–1 win over Tottenham, Liverpool return to Premier League action with another important test.

This is where we find out whether the response is real.

🔥 THE MISSION:
No slow start.
No unnecessary mistakes.
No losing control of midfield.

Just intensity, control and ruthlessness.

Iraola has been given another chance to show us what this Liverpool side is becoming.

🔴 LIVERPOOL'S REAL TEST STARTS NOW.

The 3–1 victory over Tottenham was encouraging.

But let's be honest the real questions about this Liverpool team haven't disappeared.
They've simply been postponed.

Liverpool have taken one league win from their opening four, with three draws. That means tomorrow's trip to Bournemouth isn't just another game.

It's another test of whether this team is actually developing under Andoni Iraola.

🧠 1. CAN IRAOLA FIX THE MIDFIELD BALANCE?

This is probably the biggest tactical question.
Liverpool have incredible attacking talent, but attacking talent becomes less effective when the midfield cannot consistently control transitions.

Against stronger opposition, Liverpool cannot afford to have the midfield stretched vertically.
Mac Allister needs to provide control.

Szoboszlai needs to contribute without leaving spaces behind him.
Any whoever plays alongside them has to understand when to push forward and when to protect the defence.

Liverpool don't necessarily need more attacking players.
They'll need the players they already have to function as a connected unit.

⚡ 2. WIRTZ HAS TO BECOME A CENTRAL PART OF THE SYSTEM

Florian Wirtz hasn't had the easiest start.
But this is where the manager earns his money.
Don't simply ask:
“Is Wirtz playing well?”
Ask:
“Is Liverpool creating the conditions for Wirtz to play his best football?”
He needs runners around him.
He needs midfielders who can progress the ball.
He needs attackers who understand his movement.

If Liverpool get that connection right, Wirtz can become the player who turns possession into genuine chances.

🔥 3. THE LEFT SIDE COULD BE A HUGE WEAPON

Gakpo and Barcola give Iraola two very different options.
Gakpo can combine, drift inside and attack the box.
Barcola can stretch the defence with pace and direct running.
The interesting question isn't necessarily who is better.
It's:
Which profile does Liverpool need for each opponent?

That's the kind of tactical flexibility a team competing on multiple fronts needs.

🛡️ 4. ARAÚJO IS GIVING IRAOLA AN INTERESTING OPTION

Ronald Araújo's versatility could become extremely valuable.

He can play centrally, but he's also being used at right-back, where the physical demands are different. Iraola has praised his willingness to adapt and his ability to handle those demands.
That gives Liverpool something important:
FLEXIBILITY without necessarily changing the entire structure.

And against teams that attack aggressively down the flanks, that could matter.

🎯 5. LIVERPOOL HAVE TO BE MORE RUTHLESS

This is another major issue.
Liverpool can have possession.
Liverpool can have attacking talent.
Liverpool can create pressure.
But eventually you have to turn control into goals.

Iraola himself has called for Liverpool to be ruthless at Bournemouth.

That's particularly important because Bournemouth are difficult to beat at the Vitality Stadium, and Liverpool lost 3–2 there in January.

🧩 6. SQUAD DEPTH IS ABOUT TO MATTER

This September schedule is demanding, with Liverpool playing across three competitions.

Bournemouth are also coming off their first European match, a 2–1 victory away to Real Sociedad.

Liverpool have had two extra days of recovery, which gives Iraola an important physical advantage in preparation.

But the bigger question is whether Liverpool can rotate without losing their identity.
That's what separates a talented squad from a functioning squad.

🔴 THE BIG QUESTION

I don't think Liverpool's biggest problem is a lack of quality.
The squad clearly has quality.
The question is whether Iraola can turn that quality into a consistent footballing identity.
We've seen flashes.
We've seen good attacking combinations.
We've seen defensive improvement.
We've seen young players step up.
But we've also seen periods where Liverpool lose control of games.

So tomorrow isn't simply about three points.
It's about answering a much bigger question:

WHAT EXACTLY IS IRAOLA'S LIVERPOOL GOING TO LOOK LIKE?

Because once the excuses disappear fatigue, adaptation, new players, new system — the performances have to start becoming consistent.

🔴 LIVERPOOL FANS, LET'S DEBATE:

What is the ONE thing Iraola must fix first?

A️⃣ Midfield control
B️⃣ Defensive transitions
C️⃣ Chance creation
D️⃣ Finishing
E️⃣ Tactical identity

Don't just choose a letter.

Explain your answer. 👇🔥

🔴 LIVERPOOL 3-1 TOTTENHAM, THIS WIN TELLS US MORE THAN THE SCORELINE

Liverpool responded to the disappointing Fulham draw with a much-needed victory over Tottenham, but the biggest takeaway isn't simply that we scored three goals.

There were signs of something bigger developing.

🔥 1. IRAOLA ROTATED AND THE SQUAD RESPONDED

After a congested schedule, Liverpool needed fresh legs. Iraola made changes and gave opportunities to players who needed minutes.

That was important.

A title-challenging squad cannot depend on the same 11 players every three days.

The performance showed that there is genuine depth available but now those players have to keep pushing the starters.

🧠 2. MAC ALLISTER AGAIN SHOWED HIS IMPORTANCE

Alexis Mac Allister's ability to influence games from midfield continues to be one of Liverpool's biggest weapons.

His goal wasn't just about technique.

He gives Liverpool something incredibly valuable: calmness when the game becomes chaotic.

Against Tottenham, Liverpool needed someone capable of controlling the middle of the pitch rather than simply playing at maximum speed.

Mac Allister provided that balance.

⚡ 3. GAKPO IS BECOMING A BIG-GAME PLAYER

Cody Gakpo's goal came after good combination play involving Ngumoha and Kerkez.

That's exactly what Liverpool need from their wide players movement, combinations and arriving in dangerous areas.

Gakpo doesn't always have to beat three defenders.

Sometimes the smartest movement is simply finding the right space.

👀 4. THE YOUNG PLAYERS DESERVE ATTENTION

One of the most encouraging aspects was seeing young players trusted in a competitive game.

Liverpool's future isn't only about expensive signings.

It's also about developing players who can eventually become reliable first-team options.

Ngumoha's involvement in the second goal is exactly the kind of moment that can accelerate a young player's confidence.

💪 5. THE MIDFIELD LOOKED BETTER WHEN THE GAME NEEDED CONTROL

This is where the game becomes interesting.

Liverpool had periods where Tottenham pushed forward and increased the pressure.

Instead of completely losing control, the introduction of players like Szoboszlai and Gravenberch helped Liverpool regain some authority in midfield.

And then came the moment of the night…

SZOBOSZLAI. 🚀

That finish was more than a beautiful goal. It killed the momentum Tottenham had built and gave Liverpool the breathing room they desperately needed.

🧱 6. BUT THERE IS STILL A WARNING

Liverpool conceded again from a set-piece situation and allowed Tottenham opportunities late in the match.

So while the result was positive, the defensive concentration still needs work.

Against a stronger opponent, those moments could be punished.

🔴 THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Fulham draw created questions about Iraola's system.

This win doesn't answer all of them.

But it does show something important:

Liverpool have the squad to respond.

Now the challenge is consistency.

Can this team produce the same intensity and control against Bournemouth on Sunday?

Because that's where we find out whether Tottenham was simply a good cup performance…

or the beginning of Liverpool finally finding their rhythm under Iraola.

🔥 LIVERPOOL FANS WHO WAS YOUR MAN OF THE MATCH?

3️⃣ Szoboszlai

🔴 LIVERPOOL FANS, YOU CAN ONLY CHOOSE ONE 👀

Forget the hype. Forget the names. If Liverpool could fix ONE thing right now, what would you choose?

🅰️ A. Midfield control
We need a proper controller who can dictate games and protect the defence.

🅱️ B. More creativity
Liverpool need to create more clear chances against teams that sit deep.

🅲️ C. Better pressing
The intensity and coordination of the press has to improve.

🅳️ D. Tactical consistency
Iraola needs to find a system that brings the best out of this squad.

🅴️ E. Finishing
The chances are there. We simply need to punish teams.

🔥 BUT HERE'S THE REAL QUESTION:

Is Liverpool's problem actually the players…

OR is Iraola still trying to figure out his best system? 🤔

No sitting on the fence. 😂
