Cape buffalo, Nyati, Mbogo, daggaboy, kakuli just to mention a few names that many a hunter to Africa has become accustomed too! This bull gave us the run around for 11 days and near on 120kms on foot tracking and stalking him. Always out smarting us in one way or another, crossing boundaries to other concessions, vanishing into impenetrable thickets, or leading us into terrain that would leave our trackers stumped as to where he had gone!! But we pushed on and day 12 proved to be successful, finding his track early that morning, we tracked him for a few kms when one of the trackers spotted him feeding towards a small waterhole. Wind was perfect, with a quick stalk in using the cover we had and managing to get to 45 yards, with one well place shot from a 416 Rigby our persistents paid off!!!
