MOLINAREZ IS THE FIRST SCORER OF 2020!
Deportes Tolima's 22-year-old forward Luis Molinarez is officially credited as having scored the first goal of the 2020 Colombian BetPlay League season.
That was against title contenders Independiente Medellin in a hotly-contested game which ended 2–2 at the Manuel Murillo Toro Stadium in the Colombian city of Tolima.
Deportes Tolima use home advantage to crush struggling Independiente Santa Fe 4-0.
Santa Fe are bottom of the 2019 Colombian League Clausura with 1 point and after 4 games played, have still not managed to score a single goal.
Tolima leapfrogged the double defending champions Júnior Barranquilla who lost 1-0 at home.

Will Deportes Tolima break into the Colombian League top 8 second group stage spots, or will Independiente Santa Fe finally record their first win of the season?
We certainly have to feel for Santa Fe who – for all their history and reputation as one of the biggest clubs in Colombia and South America – have simply not lived up to their name.
Their Apertura was disastrous and sadly, it does not look like their new half-season is any better. 3 games played and still no wins or goals for Independiente Santa Fe, and this makes for a very sad reading.
Santa Fe fans will certainly hope they can get something out of their game against Tolima. It will not be easy because the Independiente Santa Fe players are low on confidence at the moment and they are struggling to score goals and win games.
