THE ONE WHO CAME BACK TO SAY THANK YOU!
One of the messages that made me smile today came from Harrison Kalusa.
"We are here with my brother. He's saying thanks a lot boss."
Just like that. Simple. Genuine. Appreciated.
It immediately reminded me of the story of the ten lepers. Many received the blessing, but only one came back to say thank you.
The ticket giveaway went out.
People collected tickets.
People entered the stadium.
People enjoyed the football.
People celebrated the goals.
Then Harrison sent a picture from inside the stadium and a message:
"We are here with my brother. He's saying thanks a lot boss."
My brother, may your team never concede in added time and may VAR always be in a good mood whenever your striker is through on goal!
On a serious note, thank you for taking the time to send the message. It may look small, but it means a lot.
As we say in Chewa:
"Wothokoza sadzasoลตa."
A thankful person will never lack.
Gratitude opens more doors than complaints ever will. A simple thank you may seem small, but it carries great value.
The next giveaway committee has already taken note of this level of gratitude. ๐๐ฟ๐ฒโฝโค๏ธ

AMINE HIVER LEAVES ZESCO UNITED
The 2025/26 MTN Super League season may be over, but one of its biggest stories has already arrived.
Amine Hiver has officially announced his departure from ZESCO United after the expiry of his contract, bringing to an end a memorable two-year stay in Ndola.
In an emotional farewell message, Hiver thanked his teammates, coaches, club officials and supporters for their support throughout his journey at the club.
The forward leaves after another impressive season in which he won the Top Scorer Award and Fans' Player of the Season Award at the club's awards gala.
For many of us who watched the league closely, Hiver was not just one of ZESCO United's best players , he was one of the best players in the entire league.
ZESCO United now face the difficult task of replacing a player who consistently delivered goals, quality and excitement whenever he stepped onto the pitch.
We wish Amine Hiver all the best in the next chapter of his career.
As we say in Chewa:
"Mbalame ikakula, imawuluka kuchoka pachisa."
"When a bird grows, it eventually flies from the nest."
Amine Hiver arrived, made his mark, and now flies on to a new challenge. Football moves on, but good memories remain.

THE ZAMBIA PREMIER TRANSITIONAL LEAGUE (ZPL) IS COMING!
With Zambian football preparing to move to a new football calendar in 2027, attention now shifts to the Zambia Premier Transitional League (ZPL), which is expected to run from September 2026 to December 2026.
The competition will be divided into two streams of ten teams each.
The format is straightforward:
โ
The winner of each group qualifies for the ZPL Final.
โ
The final will determine the overall Transitional League Champion.
โ
The bottom two teams in each group will be relegated to the National Division.
Looking at these groups already, there are some mouth-watering fixtures on the horizon.
Power Dynamos vs Nkana.
ZESCO United vs Roan United.
Red Arrows vs Kabwe Warriors.
MUZA vs Nchanga Rangers.
And perhaps most importantly, clubs will have only a few months to make their mark before the introduction of the new football calendar in 2027.
A short season.
No room for excuses.
No room for slow starts.
As we say in Chewa:
โMpikisano waifupi umafuna kuthamanga kwambiri.โ
โA short race requires faster running.โ
With only a few months to play, teams will have little time to recover from mistakes. Every point, every goal and every match could define the success or failure of their Transitional League campaign. โฝ๐
