Good evening fellow citizens;

We wish to officially announce to the nation that the Government of the Republic of Zambian through the Ministry of home affairs and Internal Security has cleared and issued Amie Mabika with a Zambian Passport.

The finalization of the naturalization process of the United States-based defender Amie Mabika could now make him available to play for the national team including the two uninterrupted AFCON Group H fixtures Lesotho scheduled for this month.

We have since communicated to the Football Association of Zambia - FAZ via a phone call about the collection of Amie Mabika’s Zambian Passport tomorrow, Tuesday 7th March 2023.

We further wish to urge the country’s Football Mother Body FAZ to continue identifying talents that were ready for naturalization and bring them forward.

Minister of Youth, Sport and Art Elvis Nkandu has revealed that the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winning Chipolopolo are scheduled to entertain Football Club Barcelona Legends on May 27, 2023 in an exhibition match on home soil.

Speaking during the Launch of the hosting of the FC Barcelona Tour in Lusaka, Nkandu says the event will help promote sport tourism and present many business opportunities to Zambians.

Among the players who have confirmed participation is Ronaldinho, Giovanni and Frank De Boer.

Meanwhile, the 2012 AFCON winning team players have described the event as a great honor and opportunity, adding that it will bring great memories to the people of Zambia.

The event is being organized by the King of Africa Sport in Partnership with the Ministry of Sport
