First victory!
Gift Puteho claimed the win in the senior category (and 27th in the overall including men elite) after three hours of racing the technical Cradle trails. Richard (first international racing experience) and Mathews were leading and dominating the A-batch but ended up being disqualified. Both riders missed a sign and took a slightly shorter route, this was not intentional. Bad luck hit Enerst who had two flat tires. But this is what our team captain had to say after the race :
''I realize that coming again and again to South Africa gives the team a lot of confidence. We are more comfortable now and can measure our progress against others and also the way to go to the top''
We'll be back for more!
