FIVE FNF YOUNG STARS PLAYERS TO SERVE AS AFCON BALL BOYS
Five promising Under-15 players from FNF Young Stars are set for a memorable experience when Zimbabwe take on the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in an Africa Cup of Nations match at the National Sports Stadium on Monday.
The five youngsters — Keith Sabiti, Marshall Mashatise, Asa Mafemera, Beaven Daniel Pamire and Ngonidzashe Butau — yesterday underwent specialised ball-boy training at the National Sports Stadium as they prepared for their match-day responsibilities.
For the youngsters, the opportunity goes beyond simply serving as ball boys. It gives them a rare opportunity to experience international football from close range and soak in the atmosphere of a major AFCON fixture.
The selection is also a proud moment for FNF Young Stars, a grassroots football academy affiliated with the Chitungwiza Junior Football Development League (CJFDL).
CJFDL continues to create platforms for young footballers in Chitungwiza to develop their talent and gain valuable exposure to higher levels of the game.
For Sabiti, Mashatise, Mafemera, Pamire and Butau, Monday’s assignment will be a moment to remember — as they move from the grassroots football fields of Chitungwiza to the grand stage of the National Sports Stadium.
Five young players. One big stage. A memory that could last a lifetime.
Future stars. Future Warriors.
