21 Kilometres. Crushed! 🏃♂️💨🌍
After a week of deep dives into Extreme Ownership and managing the nervous energy in camp, our Men's Core stepped up to the starting line and conquered their 21km run!
At Quest Africa, we teach that endurance isn't just about physical fitness; it is a profound mental battle. When the legs get heavy and the finish line feels miles away, it is pure discipline and character that carry you through.
As 2025 Men's Core Questor Kaden Tuohey perfectly described the physical challenges here: "I've learned the difference between when the body gets tired, and the mind gets tired. Because the mind always gets tired first... I've learned so much about what I am physically capable of".
We are incredibly proud of the grit, brotherhood, and determination the boys showed out on the trail.

Building for the future! 🛠️🔥
Our Men's Core guys have been getting their hands dirty in the workshop this fortnight, and it has been incredible to watch them step up to the challenge.
After kicking off their electrical module with circuits and basic wiring, the boys fired up the forging tools and started their latest welding project: building steel safe boxes that will be used as storage for future Questors!
There is something profoundly meaningful about stepping out of the classroom to build something with your own hands that will outlast your time here. The guys have taken that responsibility seriously.

Failure isn't the opposite of success. It's part of the process. 🌍💪
“What Quest taught me is that failing is not something bad—it is something to learn from. From failing, you learn to grow, and you learn to build discipline.” – Otto, Questor.
At Quest Africa, we don't expect perfection—we expect effort. Stepping out of your comfort zone means you will stumble, whether you are navigating a grueling hike, learning a new technical trade, or simply facing your own internal barriers.
We teach our young adults that failing isn't a reason to quit; it is a reason to reflect, revise, and make a new plan. True growth happens when you stop fearing failure and start using it as fuel to build unbreakable, daily discipline.
Are you ready to embrace the challenge, drop the fear of failure, and start truly growing? 🔥👇

Building more than just walls. 🧱🌍
At Quest Africa, the Men's Core Technical Acumen module takes the guys out of their comfort zones and straight onto the construction site. They aren't just learning how to mix cement mortar, lay block walls, and plaster—they are learning how to see a demanding physical project through from start to finish.
These hands-on skills are put to the ultimate test during our community projects, such as travelling to Mozambique to construct a local classroom.
As Questor Mitchell Christensen reflected on the experience: "Whether it was during a marathon or while building that classroom in Mozambique, I learned that pushing through difficulty builds something internal that no easy path ever could. It’s not about how you start—it's about how you finish".
Equipping these young men with the ability to work with their hands fosters a profound level of true problem-solving and self-reliance for the modern world.

Experience alone isn't enough. 🌍🧠
“Without reflection, experience doesn’t automatically lead to improvement. Quest forced me to slow down and reflect. And that reflection is what turns experience into learning.” – Constantin, LifeCamp Questor.
At Quest Africa, we know that true growth doesn't just come from taking action, pushing your limits, or always doing more. It comes from the quiet moments of reflection that follow.
Through our Action Learning Cycle, we teach young adults how to pause, process their experiences, and turn them into lifelong lessons.
Are you ready to stop just "doing" and start truly growing? 🔥👇

Sparks are flying at the Quest Technical Centre! 🔥🛠️
Our Men’s Core traded the traditional classroom for welding helmets and angle grinders as they dive deep into their Technical Acumen modules.
What exactly do the guys get out of this hands-on workshop experience?
⚡ Mastering the Trade: They get practical, intensive training in Gas (Oxy-acetylene), MIG/MAG, and TIG/TAG welding across different metals.
🔍 Precision & Problem Solving: It is not just about making sparks fly; they are learning crucial technical fundamentals like joint design, weld inspection, safety management, and identifying structural faults.
🛡️ True Self-Reliance: Whether they are heading to university or straight into a career, the ability to build, repair, and work with their hands fosters a profound level of self-reliance and problem-solving capability that is vital for the modern world.
For many Questors, stepping into the workshop is a completely new challenge that pushes them out of their comfort zone—and for some, it sparks a brand-new, unexpected passion!

“I am no longer satisfied with being capable. I want to be consistent... I am no longer satisfied with meeting expectations. I want to exceed the standard I once relied on others to set.” – Matilda, LifeCamp Questor
At Quest Africa, true growth happens when you stop relying on external boundaries and start building your own internal discipline. Matilda’s profound realization perfectly captures what it means to go from just "getting by" to setting your own standard of excellence.
It’s not just about having potential; it's about putting in the daily, consistent effort to turn that potential into reality.

Out here, the wilderness is the ultimate classroom. 🌍🦏
Some of our Men's Core 26 Intake has officially conquered their expedition to the Bubye Valley Conservancy (BVC)!
What exactly do the guys get out of this rugged, off-grid immersion?
🔥 A Primal Connection: Far removed from daily distractions, the boys experience a profound, grounding connection to the African bush that fosters a deep appreciation for the natural world.
🧭 Hands-On Industry Skills: They dive headfirst into the realities of the professional guiding and hunting industries, mastering tracking, weapon handling, and bush survival. 🛡️
Conservation in Action: It’s not just about the thrill of the wild; it’s about learning the ethics of wildlife management, anti-poaching, and the critical importance of habitat protection.
As one recent 25 Men’s Core Alumni put it, the BVC trip is often the single most "rewarding, primal, but also heart touching" travel experience of their entire Quest journey.

Update from the Men's Core! 🏕️📶
The guys are finally back on the grid and safe and sound on campus after an epic eight-day expedition!
The groups have just reunited after an incredible week splitting their time between the Bubi Valley Conservancy (BVC) and Drummonds Ranch.
It has been fantastic listening to everyone swap stories from their different experiences. Half the group was immersed in the agricultural world at Drummonds, while the others were deep into our Natural Acumen at BVC, focusing on practical hunting and Pady Pacey lessons. We even heard a rumor from the field that one of the guys managed to pull off an incredible 800m shot! 🎯
Now that the travels and changeovers are complete and the guys are back at base camp, the schedule shifts gears from the physical demands of the bush to the Business Acumen. This upcoming week, the young men will be resting their legs and diving into entrepreneurship and digital skills with Web Design.
Stay tuned for more updates as the Questors tackle their next challenge! 💻📈
