DRUMROLL🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
You probably need to sit down for this post. This 31 year old momma and wife brought the heat to this shoot.
This transformation journey was about investing in lean gains. We got thicker, we Nailed the goal!
Her words to me were "B I would like thick legs and a b***y". We got then alright ‼️.
We lifted and ate our way to some great lean gains. Scroll right down to the bottom to see the comparison pictures first, then scroll back up to see the rest of the pictures. What a beauty.
I am beyond proud
She says "It’s kind of funny, joining Sweat Nation bootcamp actually taught me to slow down, even though I was running faster than ever. As a career mum with a demanding job, family responsibilities, and a chronic ability to say YES (to everyone but myself), I hit some serious walls. Burnouts, anxiety, depression, you name it. It took a lot to get me to the point where I finally admitted, “I need help.”
That’s when my Fuzzo (friend and cousin) invited me back to Sweatnation in June 2024. I was stuck in a gloomy funk, and honestly, I just needed a dopamine fix and some fresh air away from my work-from-home bubble. I’d been around bootcamp before, supporting my husband, but this time, I was showing up for me.
Those 5:30 a.m. wakeups in the harsh winter? Absolutely brutal. But honestly, nothing compared to the storm in my head, the anxiety and burnout. And you know what? The hour flew by because I was too busy trying to survive the workout without using up all of Coach B’s glucose (seriously, I was asking for glucose ALL THE TIME) As the months went on, I got physically stronger, but more importantly, I got better at showing up for myself. The constant ball of anxiety started to shrink. I made some incredible friends, united by our shared body aches and bootcamp battle scars. For the first time, I made a real vow to put my needs first and I was upholding that
Coach B always says, “To get steady, you have to wobble.” That’s stuck with me, not just in workouts but in life. I’m learning to stay comfortable with slow starts, falling, failing, setting boundaries, and saying no (with or without an explanation). I’m finally giving myself permission to come first, so I can be fully present for my family and work. I’ve even fallen in love with weights through the personal training session who knew. Sweatnation has been so much more than a place to work out my body, it’s helped me heal my mind while building up these “banging” muscles and firm glutes (the icing on the cake!).
So next time you see a skinny person at the gym, be kind, we’re all just trying to get healthy here".

The Sweatnation Team is proud of you.

This was a January to June transformation. Although wasn't new to the Sweatnation family, she had previously never been consistent as she would sign up for a season and then disappear the next (the story for most people). 2025 January, however, saw her committing to consistent work and chasing her goal until she achieved it, and here we are.
She is a 37 year old mum of 2, and she's a successful business owner. Through the hectic schedule and demanding life commitments, she was consistently putting in the effort. Well done, Sue Nyarai . I am beyond proud of you. Your body loves movement. Never stop.
See her comparison pics below.
Sue says, "My fitness journey has been nothing short of amazing. It has not only reshaped my body but also played an important role in changing my mindset and my well-being. The consistency taught me a lot of discipline. The journey has also had a very positive impact on my mental well-being, and i am in a much better space right now, the best i have been in in a while!
I remember looking in the mirror one day and wondering how i had gotten there but it was that redefining moment for me, that was the moment i had to decide i needed to do something about it and i have not looked back since and do not intend to either. It has become a very integral part of my life and is also becoming a lifestlye. One that i do not intend to abandon for as long as God enables me. I am so grateful to Barbs and her team for always pushing and encouraging me, it would not have been that easy without them by my side and also to all the ladies i get to meet every other morning, i appreciate them. The laughs, the pain sometimes 😂, the encouragement it keeps me going, and i would not trade that for anything. It’s so amazing and such a blessing to be part of the Sweatnation family, and i am looking forward to creating more memories together and more workouts!!"
...........
As always, thank you to my friend Nick Mancuso Traddos for the beautiful photos. You captured Sue in the most beautiful and softest way.

Drumroll 🥁🥁. . . .
She's the sweetest lady I have met in a while. , who we affectionately call Sandy, is literally everyone's little sister at Sweat Nation. When she started last October, she was a quiet, shy lady in fairly good shape. However, she hoped to build lean muscle, get stronger, get tighter and fitter. So we worked a plan to get her the results she yearned for. She can tell you herself that she ate and lifted like she had never before, and somewhere along the way, she found her voice and confidence as her body transformed. It's so lovely to see when the transformation is mind body & soul. I have enjoyed working with you, little lady. Your body loves movement, Never Stop. I am proud of you.
Dear ladies out there, get lifting 💪🏻💪🏽💪🏾
She says
"Just a stone throw away from the peak of my professional career as a financial analyst finally working for the firm I had always had my target on, a healthy daily routine incorporating a healthy professional, social and fit lifestyle, living the life in the big city, Brisbane Australia. What more could a girl ask for right?
I met my husband, and it wasn’t a hard decision to make to move back home to Zimbabwe to be with him. However, that meant my daily routine, which I had worked so hard for, would have to change.
Having not grown up in Harare, that meant new friends, a new job, and a new fitness routine. Being a shy person, this was really hard to navigate.
Months went by, and I hadn’t made friends beyond my husbands social circle, and I had neglected my fitness. I’d casually scroll and come across the Sweat Nation fitness page and never felt confident enough to reach out. More time went by, and I became more unhappy with how I looked and was socially isolated. With encouragement from my husband, I reached out to the Sweat Nation team and got a brief on what they do. However,I still wasn’t confident enough to join.
Two more months went by ,nd this time I,picked up the phone and made the phone call that would change my life. This time I ,poke to Barbs herself over the phone not,via text message so I,couldn’t back down. She invited me over for an assessment.....continued in comments👇

There is no secret method or potion besides a science based approach on our end.
On her end, determination and consistency got her these results.
When she started she was coming from a sedentary background and a hectic behind-the-desk lifestyle. We had to start from the ground up and worked through limitations and modifications to suit. The consistency gave us the momentum required to progress. Steadily, she gained the physical and mental strength to face the hard. She lost the fear of being uncomfortable and that's when we started to win. Her transformation to better health is impressive. See the comparison photos at the bottom pile and help us celebrate her wins 🏆.
Today, she's a 38 year old fit and healthy momma to 3 girls aged 13, 9 & 6. What an amazing example to the little ones watching.
She says :
"My fitness journey started last year when I was just not happy with my body as well as experiencing back ache. I came across Sweat Nation on instagram and for quite sometime just scrolled through her page .It took some time for me to make the decision to take action.
I remember at first during my sessions I always used to think to myself what have I gotten myself into😅.Never did I see myself pull through each session but somehow I would. There are times I would not want to go to the gym ,but I would just to talk myself that it is just one hour it will soon end.It took all of me to get to where I am today. My goal at first was just losing weight .Now it is more of the mental fitness.
I have become a better person by going to the gym. I’m a happier person.Coach Barbs said there is no growth if you are comfortable. So that stuck with me. In order for me to grow I had to work outside my comfort zone.
I’m grateful for Coach Munya and Coach Barbs for pushing me . I’m a better person because of them.May God bless them"

Celebrating the gorgeous Chrissy for achieving yet another goal. 6 years ago we had a photoshoot & today we celebrate another milestone goal achieved. Between then & now she was blessed with her 3rd baby. We trained through this pregnancy but life took over after birth and her training slowed right down. When she returned she weighed 88 kilos and now she sits at a comfortable and healthy 69kilos🔥💯 (see comparison pics at the bottom). She was in fairly good shape but she wanted to be less heavy, move with much more ease & get fitter. We did it.
I am beyond proud of you.
She says
"This is not my first rodeo, lol..only this time i had a lot more baggage. A new baby (babyweight) ,lockdown weight and a busy schedule, but i knew what needed to be done and i knew just the right person who would help me fetch my pre-baby body back.
During the early months of my return, I lacked consistency until I realized that I was slowing my own progress. Last year I found my accountability buddy in gym, (Gamu) and I finally set my mind to be consistent and see how far i could go. Consistency became my best friend. I aimed to attend gym all 5 days.
My goals were to lose weight and more importantly get Stronger. I wanted to over come all of the exercises that i feared and I wanted to see how strong I could get and how far I could push myself.
Barbara and Munya I am so grateful for you both. Thank you for pushing me,encouraging me and helping me believe that I could achieve my goals even on my worst days. Cheers to reaching our goals and setting new ones. Sweat Nation is my home.."
Thank you to the amazing Neil for the amazing images and capturing Chrisy so beautifully.

This has been a long & windy journey which reflects the reality most face on their journey to being in a healthy body. What I love about her story was her continous, although haphazard, returns to try and reach her goal. She eventually got to a place of understanding that the change she wanted would come from her making a firm decision & then show up consistently. We worked our way to better health and a strong body with modification after modification due to limitations. See what she wrote.
Fiona says - :
"I joined the Sweat Nation family in August 2018, 3 months after delivering my second baby via c-section. I knew I had joined the right gym after realising there was no “one size fits all “ when it came to the weight loss programs. Barbs takes her time to know and understand all her clients, I felt safe exercising with her as I had a lower back problem and diastasis recti(abdominal muscles separation from previous pregnancies). All my workouts were tailored to suit what my body could handle and I never felt short changed in any way, I would still get a good work out even with modified structurals.
However I was never 100% consistent when it came to attendance, hence my progress was slow 2018-2021. July 2021 I experienced unexpected loss, it was the darkest time of my life, during my grieving time I realized there was a thin line between falling into a depression or working hard on my total wellness and getting better. I made a decision to work on my wellness and it meant mental & physical wellness.
I got better at attending my gym sessions consistently, by January 2023 I was fully committed, going to the gym 5 times a week, hardly missed a session throughout the year& I also complained less in the gym 🤭 I pushed myself beyond the usual weights that my body was used to.
The gym became my happy place, where I felt I was pushing intentional goals for my mental & physical well being. I became stronger mentally and physically, saw myself lifting heavier than I ever imagined.......CONTINUED IN COMMENTS section

You have all heard that a fitness journey isn't linear right? The ups and downs and stagnation are all part of the journey. The idea is to keep moving.
Today we celebrate a lady who understood that not giving was the only way to better health and even when severe injury occurred, that it was a setback and not the end of the road.
From Sedentary to Fit- to full Achilles rapture- to no movement- to physio- to rehab training - to full mobility- to 18,7kgs lighter by the end of it all. Thank you for trusting us through your journey to a healthier You.
Rutendo says :
"I started with Sweat Nation as a boot camper in the last quarter of 2019. Then covid hit! 2020 I transitioned to the online grind program. And very soon- I stopped that.
2021 there was NO exercise happening. But life LIFED me hard.
2022 brought me my little boy Mukundi.
And February 2023- on the 14th to be exact was the day I walked back into the gym ready to just show up everyday that I signed up to be at the gym. I remember posting “it takes 21 days to make or break a habit” and so my journey began!
Very early in my journey what I found to work for me was to be accountable to someone. To anyone. Or maybe actually to everyone who cared to notice! And that’s where all the pictures of my shoes, the pathway into the gym, the surrounding of the gym and the famous 1/5 2/5 3/5 4/5 5/5 was born 😄. People started DM-ing me on the days I wouldn’t post asking why I didn’t go to the gym - or just saying that they felt challenged to also go to the gym and move.
Plot twist- I completely ruptured my Achilles on the 26th of April. And was out for what the doctor said would be 8-12weeks. At this point in my journey - the gym gave me therapy and balance that I didn’t know I could get out of movement for just 1 hour in the day. Sitting out- wasn’t going to happen. I think I made it 5 weeks outside SN before I sent Barbs a voice note begging to come back! I’m so glad she understood what I meant and what I needed. And I’m even more grateful that she had all the knowledge to keep me moving while keeping me off my foot and healing too. My sessions transitioned from a group setting to on...👇🏾
