The final day of an incredible week together — learning, building, growing and preparing with just one month to go until the YOG Dakar 2026!

It wasn’t all about the arena. The week was filled with team building, classroom analysis, theory and practical sessions, culminating in the opportunity to compete, put the new skills into practice and build confidence along the way.

Terry had an amazing experience and is incredibly grateful to everyone who made this camp so special. Thank you to African Confederation Of Equestrian Sports , the coaches, organisers, the Kayan International Equestrian Campus and everyone involved for your incredible hospitality, guidance, coaching and camaraderie throughout the week.

A week of learning, new friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

A look back at Days 2 & 3 of the African Confederation Of Equestrian Sports Training Camp, hosted at the incredible Kayan International Equestrian Campus in Cairo, Egypt! 🇪🇬🐎

From practical training and team building to learning, riding and preparing for the challenges ahead — Terry Angelos & Ricky Johnstone have been making the most of every moment. 💪🏼

And when they weren’t training at the Kayan International Equestrian Campus, they had the chance to explore Egypt, experience the culture and take in some of what this incredible country has to offer!

THE ROAD TO DAKAR 2026 STARTS NOW!

The Terry Angelos & Ricky Johnstone headed to Cairo on Friday to take part in the ACES Training Camp, hosted at the incredible Kayan International Equestrian Campus.

With the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar just around the corner in November 2026, this camp is a fantastic opportunity for Terry to step up their preparation — learning to ride unfamiliar, borrowed horses, tackling different riding questions and building the skills needed to perform at their best on the world stage.

But it’s not all about the training! The camp brings together young equestrian athletes from across Africa, giving them the chance to make new friends, share experiences and build the camaraderie that makes this journey so special.

A HUGE thank you to African Confederation Of Equestrian Sports , FEI Solidarity and the EEF for creating this incredible opportunity and supporting the next generation of African equestrian talent.

And a special thank you to Zimbabwe Olympic Committee & Sports and Recreation Commission for supporting the growth and development of Equestrian Sport in Zimbabwe!

Enjoy every moment, soak it all in and go show them what Zimbabwe can do!

We are beyond excited!

Yesterday our first Zambian rider arrived- today more riders will come through- including Liandie from Botswana who recently competed at the Namibian Regional Endurance Champs 2026! Come and hear her story🏇👌🏼 as well as Georgie who is hoping to participate and represent Zimbabwe in the incredible Pass of Tears. 400km endurance race in Patagonia 2027!
