Last week, we were honoured to host Dr. Ignatius Mabasa- a renowned Zimbabwean storyteller, writer, and Camp President of Gideons International, Harare North🎤📝.

He shared his powerful testimony and gifted every student with their own pocket Bible. He left our students inspired, challenged, and encouraged ⛪️.

At Gateway High School, Christian principles are at the heart of all we do. We take every opportunity to anchor our student's in God's Word ⚓️.

Meet Rachel Mazvita Zhakata a Gateway High School alumnus, now Head of Campus France Zimbabwe at the Embassy of France in Harare. On today's , we feature her story which is proof that service leadership and Christian values stick with you long after you've left the school 🏫📚.

This is what she had to say about the impact our school had on her:

"I graduated from Gateway High in 2019. During my time at Gateway, I was actively involved in co-curricular activities, serving as the First Aid leader and participating in both choir and drama club. These experiences helped me develop leadership skills, confidence, teamwork, and a passion for serving others.

I am currently working at the Embassy of France in Harare as the Head of Campus France Zimbabwe, where I support students in accessing higher education opportunities in France.

Looking back, my years at Gateway remain some of my most memorable. I fondly remember being taught the importance of service, especially during sports days, school events, and activities where we were encouraged to put others first. The school instilled in me humility, discipline, and the value of giving back, principles I continue to carry with me today.

I am also grateful for the incredible teachers who challenged us to always strive for excellence, believed in our potential, and guided us beyond the classroom. Above all, Gateway shaped my character by teaching me the importance of putting God above all else, a value that continues to guide me in my personal and professional journey."

Our own humble student, Simbarashe Mushayi is a star and an inspiration.

His accomplishments 🥇🏅🏆🎖include:

2.Silver Medal in Golf in Special Olympics Zimbabwe National Games 2026
3.Silver Medal Macau Golf Masters in China, 2026
4.Annual National Sports Awards (ANSA) held in May 2026 - Sportsman of the year with a disability 2025
5.Regional Annual Sports Awards (RASA) held in Angola in May 2026 - Sportsman of the year with a disability 2025

We are immensely proud of our Music teacher Mr Kennedy Nyabonde on his achievements. Keep soaring 💪📚✅️🎓.

It's Thursday and time for our . This week we feature Kennedy Nyabonde from our Class of 2019. We are proud of his many achievements and we are grateful he has stayed within the Gateway family as a teacher at Gateway High School 👏💯.

This is what he had to say about his experience at GCTC:

"I stepped into Gateway Christian Training College as a young man driven solely by a raw passion for music.

My time there completely transformed that passion into a structured, impactful career. Not only did the course broaden my technical understanding of music, but it also equipped me with the professional development needed to communicate effectively and deliver instruction confidently in diverse settings.

What sets GCTC apart is its focus on Biblical integration. The college taught me how to be a true ambassador of Christ through my musical talents, seamlessly weaving my faith into my professional life.

Today, as a practicing music teacher who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Music Business, Musicology and Technology, I look back with immense gratitude for how GCTC opened my eyes to my true potential, built my confidence, and laid the ultimate foundation for my higher education and career."
