FIRST RACE, FIRST WIN

When the Horse Chestnut filly, Hunyani, won the 1000m Maiden Juvenile Plate at Borrowdale Park on Sunday it was just the start of a successful afternoon for trainer Bridget Stidolph, jockey Derreck David and part-owner Robin Bruss. Bred by Adv.A.P. Joubert, Hunyani is owned by Alastair Pulford and Robin Bruss. She was Tote Favourite and dominated throughout, despite best efforts from Yesterday Man and Caribbean.

Racing today and the feature race is the Breeders Champion Cup over 2000m where the stable is represented by 4 runners. Derreck David and Denicious Smith have made the trip up from SA to ride for us. 12 runners stepping out for the stable and the first race is off at 13.35. Racing tomorrow has been cancelled. The course is too wet and heavy. Next meeting on the 11th January.
