A very big well done to all that competed yesterday in our friendly round robin tournament. Everyone had a huge amount of fun and lots of learning was done. While for most students it was their first competition, they performed well and had a large amount of fun doing so. This tournament has left everyone hungry for more!

A big thank you to Sensei Conor for his venue and for organising the event.

We have had a couple of weeks of excellent training recently. Students have been doing a number of kumite drills and some kata. Last night we ended off doing some two on one fighting for fun and experience. The students absolutely loved it! Good luck to all those competing at the fun tournament tomorrow, see you there!

After a 5 year break (covid cancelled the one in 2020!) The World Championships are back next year in Cape Town. We are very excited and will hopefully be sending a few members from Wolverine's dojo to compete at this fantastic event taking our karate to the next level. Watch our page for further developments!

This week we spent time working on our grading Katas for later this month, tuning and tweaking them to perfect them. Then we spent time working our base for impact and fighting. Ending off last night with some sparring. Welcome to our new students who were eager to learn and excited for their next lesson next week!

Absolutely fantastic and fun session this evening practicing some Kumite. We had some students join us from WildCats Karate Club to help all the students gain valuable practice time and experience before the competition this weekend. Well done to everyone who came through and best of luck to all those competing this weekend. See you there!

This week we started to prepare for the up and coming Kurai Cup competition. Tuesday saw us training kata and learning new ones for competition. Then Thursday saw us practicing some sparring. Everyone worked up a nice sweat as we did some basic sparring working into full kumite. Very good effort from all the students this week.
