Matthew Uys became the last athlete standing at the Mukuvisi Backyard Ultra 2026, completing 15 laps and covering 100.58 km, setting a new course record and becoming the first athlete to break the 100 km barrier at the event.

Congratulations to our HAC members, Paul Denslow, Debbie Colgrave, and Lorna Doorman on successfully completing the ISUZU IRONMAN 70.3 Durban!

Completing a 1.9km swim, 90km cycle, and 21.1km run is an extraordinary achievement that reflects dedication, resilience, and determination.

A special congratulations to Lorna Doorman on her outstanding performance, finishing as the 2nd Female Overall and recording the Fastest Female Run Split of the day. Lorna covered the 21.09km run leg in an impressive 1 hour 28 minutes at a blistering pace of 4:11 per kilometre.

What a phenomenal achievement and a proud moment for HAC! We are incredibly proud of all three athletes for representing the club with distinction and inspiring us through their hard work and commitment.
