🌍WORLD MOTHERS DAY SPECIAL 🧑🏾🍼ㅡ By Coach Tarie
The Hands That Carry Humanity
There are roles in society that can be delegated.
There are responsibilities that institutions can assume.
There are systems that governments can build.
But there is one role whose value can never truly be quantified, replaced, or replicated — the role of a mother.
Behind every generation stands the silent strength of women who carried life in their bodies, endured pain in silence, nurtured humanity with compassion, and sacrificed pieces of themselves so others could rise.
Today, as we celebrate World Mothers Day, we are not merely celebrating a title.
We are celebrating one of the greatest forces of stability, healing, continuity, and humanity in the world.
Motherhood is one of the most physically demanding, emotionally stretching, psychologically taxing, and socially sacrificial journeys a human being can undertake.
Before a child ever speaks, a mother has already endured months of carrying life within her body:
- sleepless nights,
- hormonal changes,
- physical discomfort,
- emotional vulnerability,
- anxiety,
- fear,
- pain,
- uncertainty,
- and often silent sacrifice.
Pregnancy itself is one of the greatest demonstrations of resilience and courage.
A mother’s body changes.
Her routines change.
Her emotions fluctuate.
Her dreams are often paused, so another life can emerge.
And yet, most mothers continue to nurture while carrying these burdens quietly.
Many women continue to work, care for families, support communities, and remain emotionally available to others even while navigating exhaustion, emotional strain, and physical pain.
This is strength in one of its purest forms.
But motherhood goes beyond biology.
Mothers are emotional architects of society.
They nurture not only children — they nurture homes, values, relationships, cultures, and communities.
The compassion that keeps families together is often carried by mothers.
The emotional intelligence that softens harsh environments is often cultivated by mothers.
The patience that stabilises homes, the empathy that heals wounds, and the love that keeps people believing in themselves are often deposited into society through motherhood.
Long before schools teach values, mothers often become the first teachers.
Long before society recognises potential, mothers are often the first believers.
Long before leaders emerge publicly, mothers have usually already fought battles privately for them.
A healthy society can rarely exist without nurturing.
And, nurturing is one of the greatest invisible forms of leadership the world has underestimated for generations.
In many ways, mothers carry civilisation itself.
As COTACC, we believe leadership is not only expressed through titles, boardrooms, microphones, or positions of influence.
Leadership is also expressed through sacrifice, service, emotional labour, compassion, consistency, and the ability to raise and sustain human potential.
This is why motherhood deserves not only celebration — but honour.
Today, I especially celebrate two extraordinary mothers whose impact has profoundly shaped my life.
My Mother — Gogo Mukunga
My beloved mother, Gogo Mukunga, represents resilience, sacrifice, wisdom, and unwavering love.
Like many African mothers, her story carries countless unseen sacrifices that children only fully understand later in life.
The strength to keep going during difficult seasons.
The ability to nurture despite limitation.
The wisdom to guide even without abundance.
The courage to carry responsibility quietly.
Her life has been a living lesson in endurance, humility, compassion, and faithfulness.
Many of the values that shape who I am today were not merely taught through words — they were demonstrated through her life.
I honour her not only as my mother, but as one of the women whose sacrifices helped build generations.
My Wife — Yolanda Mukunga
I also celebrate my wife, Yolanda, the mother of our beloved children, Mikael and Brielle.
Watching motherhood closely gives one a deeper appreciation of the emotional, physical, and spiritual demands women carry daily.
Yolanda’s unwavering dedication to our children and family, her emotional strength, her nurturing spirit, and her ability to balance care, support, and love remind me constantly that motherhood is one of the highest forms of leadership and service.
She has helped create an environment of warmth, stability, love, and growth for our family.
Her nurturing presence continues to shape the emotional and moral foundation of our children, and for that, I remain deeply grateful.
To my mother and my wife — thank you for your sacrifices, your love, your patience, your prayers, your strength, and your immeasurable contribution to our lives.
And to mothers across Zimbabwe, Africa, and the world:
Thank you for carrying humanity.
Thank you for nurturing generations.
Thank you for loving beyond exhaustion.
Thank you for being the emotional backbone of families and communities.
Thank you for showing the world that true strength is often clothed in compassion.
Your work may not always trend publicly.
Your sacrifices may not always be acknowledged loudly.
But your impact echoes through generations.
🌍Happy World Mothers Day.❤️‼️
