The day commenced with centering and a mbira interlude then a recap of day 3 which touched on introduction to transformative development, where attendees reflected on what they learnt from the tree of an organization model, four responses to poverty, the wheel of fundamental human needs, and lastly the reflection from the letters to future self. The facilitators emphasized on the importance of journaling, highlighting that it is very important to write things down, as it builds confidence, and allows oneself to ask questions, and conscientize you that your at the core of everything that you desire to see changing. Building a Learning Community
The sessions from today were focusing on the organizations that the participants are attached to. Looking at this process it was rich and unearthed some of the gaps that are in this various institution such as leadership and lack of resources to support their work and ideas.

Building a Learning Community
Today's session followed up on the previous days learnt lessons and it started with a reflection of what the participants had learnt on the opening day. The main concept of the day was to reflect on the journey of life and then marry it to whom you want to be in the future. The participants managed to draw inspiration from different role models such as Professor Lumumba, J.Nyerere, Nelson Mandela and Mbuya Stella Chiweshe. The participants appreciated the use of the river of life to describe how their lives have been since birth to present. “I have realized that I still need more time to discover myself”. Natalie.

Today is June 16, the International Day of the African Child. This day commemorates the brave students who protested for their right to quality education in Soweto, South Africa, in 1976. Many of them lost their lives in the struggle, but their legacy lives on. As we celebrate this day, we also recognize the challenges and opportunities that African children face today. They are the future of the continent, and they deserve to have their rights respected and protected.
