From the Desk to your dreams.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother figures who shape not just homes, but futures.

Your guidance, resilience, and sacrifices lay the foundation for the dreams our young people pursue. You are often the first mentors, the first teachers, and the first to believe in potential long before the world sees it.

As we celebrate you today, may we also recognise the powerful role you play in guiding career paths — encouraging curiosity, nurturing talent, and instilling values that prepare the next generation for meaningful lives and impactful careers.

To every mother: your influence goes far beyond today. You are raising leaders, innovators, and change-makers.

Happy Mother’s Day 🌸

To A & O Level Graduates

Life is a marathon, not a sprint.
Don’t stress about the speed of the next person

Run your race.

In a marathon, some sprint, some jog, some walk.
Others pause, and a few may even crawl.

What matters is not how you move, but that you keep moving toward the finish line.

Career paths are the same.
Some will reach their goals early, others late

but arrival still counts.

Stay focused. Stay consistent.
Hupenyu mwene wahwo.

Mbuya vangu vakati

Ita Chako Muzukuru.
Enjoy your run.

Parents!!!!!!!

Student Leadership Lesson from Sadio Mané (AFCON)

When Morocco was awarded a penalty at AFCON tonite emotions were high. Some Senegal players began to step away in frustration and distraction. Sadio Mané immediately called his teammates back onto the field.

This simple action showed true leadership.

🔹 He reminded the team to stay focused
🔹 He stopped emotional reactions from breaking team discipline
🔹 He showed that leaders act in moments of pressure, not comfort
🔹 He put the team’s goal above personal feelings

By calling them back, Mané sent a clear message:

> “We are still in this. Stay calm. Stay united.” Same to our learners, after the results, we are still in the race to determine our career path.

What Students Can Learn

Leadership is about control under pressure

A leader protects the team’s mindset

Small actions can change outcomes

Real leaders lead when things are going wrong, not when they are easy

One-Line Takeaway for Students

Leadership is not shouting orders — it is guiding people back to purpose when emotions rise.

Parents let's guide our children and not dictating as they choose their A level combination and Schools

Congratulations to Senegal and Mane for winning the 2026 African Cup.

Are you one of the many new graduates who regrets going to university? 04/09/2025

“University, Poly or Vocational — the choice is yours. I’ve seen many people do degrees and later switch to skills training, because that’s where the real opportunities lie. These days, some universities in an unnamed country, are just chopping modules and selling them as degrees.

But remember, professional bodies like CA still require a full, proper accounting degree. The same goes for Computer Science, Physics and other fields. Don’t just chase a certificate — chase real skills that will make you useful in industry.

Don't be an experiment choose your career path

This raises concern that some institutions are prioritising revenue generation over producing graduates with industry-ready skills.

Are you one of the many new graduates who regrets going to university? Graduates are wondering whether the crippling debt and jobs taken by AI make university worth it any more

Empowering the Future: Coaching & Mentoring Session at St. Anthony's Mission School in Jerera Zaka 🌟
This past March 2025, I had the privilege of conducting a coaching and mentoring session for Ordinary Level and Advanced Level students at St. Anthony School—nearly 350 km from Harare. Despite the distance, the energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity of the students made every kilometre worthwhile.
The main focus of our session was to guide students on critical decisions around subject selection and how these choices align with future career paths. We explored how subject combinations can open doors to various professions and emphasized the importance of early career exposure in shaping informed, confident learners. ( Apa ndakaonerera regai ndinyarare hangu.)
Through interactive discussions and real-world examples, students gained clarity on how their current academic choices can shape their professional journey—from science and technology to business, law, health sciences, and beyond. Key core subjects for each unis program were discussed and the interactive debate with students continued and continued – students had many questions and needed clarity
💡 Key Takeaways:
• Align your passions and strengths with your subject combinations.
• Think long-term: subject selection is the foundation for future opportunities.
• Explore diverse professions early through reading, mentorship, and internships.
• Aim for both academic success and practical skills development.
We’re proud to support the next generation of Zimbabwean leaders, thinkers, and innovators. A heartfelt thank you to the staff and students of St. Anthony for their warm hospitality and active participation!

Unlock Your Potential with Every Choice

As I celebrate my birthday today, I have found it necessary to share a video on subject selection for those who have completed the Ordinary Level in Zimbabwe. Yes, Some will say it’s because of the No O’ Level ZIFA- Prophet debacle. Lol
You stand at this pivotal moment, choosing your Advanced Level subjects; remember that each selection is a key unlocking door to your future. Whether you're drawn to the sciences, arts, or humanities, each subject not only shapes your academic path but also moulds your curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
Choose subjects that ignite your passion and challenge your intellect. Embrace these choices as opportunities to discover what you love, what you're good at, and where you can make a difference. Every subject is a step toward academic excellence and personal growth.
