A message to everyone setting off fireworks:-

My ex husband just lost almost everything he owns because just one firework landed on the thatch roof where he stays in Greystone Park and set the entire house on fire.

Were it not for the kindness and assistance of his neighbours and 3 hours of dedicated hard work from our amazing fire department things could have been much worse.

Its not just the noise, nor the terror for our animals that is the main problem here. Fireworks can be deadly and all I take from this right now is that my 3 children were not there and that everyone is safe.

Please please think twice in future before you start your new year off with a bang. This is not the way we intended to start ours.

The house fire on new years eve belonged to 2 of our members and they lost EVERYTHING...we are asking for donations of any household items, furniture, linen, kitchen stuff & men's clothes (shirt size XL, pants size 34, shoes size 8), literally anything & everything home related.
