June is Men's Health Month. At Lancet Laboratories, we believe real strength begins with self care. Let's shine a light on men's health issues. Regular screenings detect heart disease, diabetes, and prostate issues early. Speaking up about mental health is a step toward healing. Schedule a check up with your doctor and get screened this June.

We were proud to be part of the annual Masawara Career Guidance Expo at Mutasa Primary School. It was an incredible day connecting with future scientists and healthcare professionals from 15 primary schools and 17 high schools across the district. We loved sharing insights into the world of medical laboratory science and inspiring young minds to explore careers in diagnostics and healthcare. A big thank you to the organisers, educators, and all the curious students who stopped by our stand. The future is bright.

Let's talk about Colotect, a simple, non invasive screening test that checks for early signs of colorectal cancer from the comfort of your home. No hospital visits, no special prep, and highly accurate. Here's how it works:
Visit your doctor for a referral, collect a stool sample at home, return it to Lancet, and get precise results. Recommended for those 45+, with a family history, or experiencing symptoms. Early detection saves lives.

Zimbabwe, we've been reading the confessions and honestly, we are wheezing 😅. From the guy whose doctor still calls him by his Form 2 nickname, to the lady who last did a blood test when WhatsApp statuses were still Facebook “text updates”, we see you. No judgment, just a gentle reminder that taking control of your health is possible. Life in Zim moves fast, but your health doesn't have to take a backseat. It's time to prioritize your well being.

As we close the month of April, remember to watch for these signs for colorectal cancer if you are 45+

🔹 Bowel changes— pellet p**p, diarrhea, thin stool, or constipation for 3+ weeks
🔹 Blood — in stool or on tissue, bright red or dark
🔹 Persistent stomach pain — pricking, cramps, or bloating that won’t go
🔹 Feeling blocked — “ball first” then normal, or feeling not fully empty
🔹 Unexplained weight loss or constant tiredness
Screening starts at 45. Early detection = 90% survival rate.

Get tested for Colorectal cancer at any of our Lancet branches.
