SLEEP AND STRESS-RELIEF WORKSHOP

In today’s world, many people are living with chronic stress and poor sleep, often without realizing how deeply it affects their health, mood, productivity and overall wellbeing.

When the nervous system is constantly in “doing mode”, the body forgets how to rest, restore and truly sleep.

This is why I’m hosting a 3-day Online Workshop: Sleep & Stress Relief starting this Monday.

Over these sessions we will practice gentle yoga, breathwork and deep relaxation techniques designed to calm the nervous system, release accumulated stress and support more restful sleep.

These practices are simple, accessible and suitable for beginners.

🗓 Monday – Wednesday
🕕 6:00 – 7:00 pm or
🕗 8:00 – 9:00 pm (choose the time that suits you)

Corse fee: $45

If you feel constantly tired, overwhelmed, or find it difficult to switch off at night, this workshop may give you practical tools to support your wellbeing.

Feel free to message me if you would like more details.

🌸 From the Yoga Room 🌸

At the Yoga Room at Queen of Hearts, Highlands, Harare, we hold a quiet, sacred space where breath slows, the body softens, and the heart remembers its natural rhythm.

This is a place to return to yourself — to move gently, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the joy that already lives within you. Whether you come for healing, strength, calm, or clarity, you are welcome just as you are.

As Swami Satchidananda reminds us:
“Peace is in every step.”

Come walk those steps with us.
Let joy be your fuel, not your finishing line.

Not Every Hole has a Snake

We have to correct our vision. It’s not only the eye that sees, but the “I” sees also. Sit in meditation and think, “Am I seeing things and people without any prejudice, or do I project my image?” We see not just the person, but our own prefixed notions. It’s a very natural thing, and it’s very hard to escape from that. When that happens, you have to question yourself. “Why am I seeing that person this way?”
A country proverb says, “Not every hole has a snake.” You may happen to see a snake going into a hole; fine, remember that all holes are not free from snakes. But don’t look for a snake in every hole you come across. See each one individually.

Your Body is a Vehicle

Your body is your vehicle. It's given to you to enjoy life. Remember, whatever you want to do, you need the body. You want to hear something? You need the body. You want to taste something? You need the body. You want to go somewhere? You need the body. The scriptures say, “Whatever you want to do, the body comes first.” So, keep the body in good shape and use it well. On the other hand, attachment to your body interferes with your using it. So, in the name of spiritual practice, Yoga practice, we are not asking you to get attached to the body. Take good care of your tool, your instrument. Keep it clean, keep it healthy, keep it strong and fit to function well, but don't get attached to it.
~Sri Swami Satchidananda

Giving Advice

If you want to give some advice, your first duty is to look and see if that person will accept it, if he or she will be benefited by your saying something. If the person gets upset, it shows that you don't know how to say it gently in the proper way. Stop and think, “Is this the right moment to discuss this?” If you positively know that the person is not in a mood to receive it from you, wait until another time or start very gently. Maybe at the spur of the moment the ego will come and say, “How dare you tell me that!” But when you go away, he or she will try to apply your advice. Remember there is a giver and a receiver, both have lessons to learn.
