Public Lecture on Cotton at Mlezu Agricultural
Today, 21 April 2026, Mlezu Agricultural College is hosting a public lecture on cotton, delivered by the Kadoma Cotton Research Team.
The lecture will provide valuable insights into cotton research and development, supporting the college’s mission to strengthen agricultural education and enhance student training.

ZOU Donates Agriculture Modules to Support Student Training
Mlezu Agricultural College is pleased to announce that the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) has generously donated agriculture study modules to strengthen our library resources and enhance student training programmes.
The donation was officially presented by Professor M. Kurebwa, Acting Regional Director of ZOU, to Mr. J. Maruza, Acting Principal of Mlezu Agricultural College.
This initiative forms part of ZOU’s community engagement mandate, aimed at sharing knowledge and empowering learners. The collaboration will significantly benefit both lecturers and students by providing access to essential learning materials that support effective training and academic excellence.
We extend our sincere appreciation to ZOU for this valuable partnership, which reinforces our shared commitment to advancing agricultural education and building capacity for future leaders in the sector.

Mlezu Agricultural College Strategic Plan
From 15 to 17 April 2026, the Mlezu Agricultural College Management team, together with members of the Advisory Board, convened at Senga Academy Campus to develop the college’s Strategic Plan. The workshop, facilitated by the Public Service Commission (PSC), was officially opened by Dr J. Dondofema, Director of Agricultural Education, with welcome remarks from Ms Saidi, Acting Principal of Senga Academy Campus.
Discussions focused on strengthening institutional planning through Integrated Results-Based Management (IRBM), including stakeholder needs analysis and strategies for achieving desired outputs. The team also conducted a comprehensive SWOT environmental scan, reviewing Political, Technological, Governance, Social, Ecological, Economic, and Legal factors to guide the college’s strategic direction.
The workshop concluded with closing remarks by Ms B. O. Mavankeni, Provincial Director for ARDAS Midlands Province, who emphasised collaboration and innovation in advancing agricultural education.
We appreciate the valuable contributions of all participants as we work towards a stronger and more impactful future for Mlezu Agricultural College.

Our volleyball teams — both female and male — performed excellently in the semifinals and finals. The players gave their all and demonstrated outstanding commitment and teamwork throughout the competition.
