The Takiwatanga family is getting a whole lot bigger! We're thrilled to announce that our rescue donkey, Jenny, is expecting a bouncing baby foal!

Jenny's journey to Takiwatanga was a tough one, but now she's surrounded by love and care. We can't wait to welcome her little one into the world, but there's one question on everyone's mind: is it a boy or a girl?

At Takiwatanga we have children of all ages come riding with us and we always tell them they can do and be anything! We want them to REACH FOR THE STARS!

Therefore, we decided this was agreat opportunity to make the page more interactive. So here it is -

Help us to help our children build on their hopes and dreams by showing them that it's not crazy to reach for the stars and to show them that sometimes they will catch one and sometimes they wont but it is still okay to carry on hoping.

This is just a little fun and an excuse to remember simpler times as we are surround by such chaos.

We just want to say a HUGE thank you to all the mommies that brought their babies for their first sessions with us yesterday! The day was a massive success.
We had a total of 4 sessions including 6 children.

Yesterday was a test for all of us, I wanted to see how the horses would do with a full day including travelling and being away from home as well as how my guys would handle the sessions. I can safely say that everyone excelled beyond my hopes and dreams and we all returned home exhausted but exhilarated.
My pride for how the horses and my guys delt with yesterday has no words.
Heidi and Paprika blew me away as I knew they would and the whole experience solidified my want and need to continue helping others.
I can safely say all the children involved left with great big smiles on their faces with a need and a want to come back again - Id say that was mission complete!
