LA SAKUBVA FC (24 YEARS)

As La Sakubva Football Club celebrates 24 years of football excellence, community pride, and youth empowerment, we stand at a powerful moment in our history. For nearly a quarter of a century, our club has been more than just a team as it has been a home, a shield, and a foundation for hundreds of boys in Sakubva and beyond, nurturing their dreams, talent, discipline, and character through the beautiful game. Over these 24 years, we have reached important milestones:
• Developing young players who have progressed to professional and semi‑professional levels.
• Keeping vulnerable children engaged in safe, structured football pathways rather than falling into harmful environments.
• Sustaining community leagues, tournaments, coaching clinics, and mentorship programmes that have shaped the lives of countless youths.
• Building a football culture in Sakubva grounded in respect, teamwork, and resilience.

These achievements were only possible because of the dedication of our legends, players, coaches, parents, supporters, local partners, and community leaders who have stood with the club through victories, challenges, and transitions. To all of you, we extend our deepest appreciation. Your belief in La Sakubva FC has always been our strength.
Today, as we mark 24 years, we also face our biggest challenge yet; the financial strain that threatens our ability to provide safe, consistent football programmes for our youth and children. The costs of equipment, transport, coaching, welfare, registration, and facility upkeep continue to rise. Yet our commitment remains the same, to lead, protect, and empower young people, and to keep them safe from harm and the risk of harm through structured football pathways.
To honour our 24‑year journey, we are launching the “$24 for 24 Years Challenge.”
We are calling on:
• Club legends
• Former and current players
• Parents and guardians
• Supporters
• Business partners
• Community leaders
• Friends of La Sakubva football club
to donate USD 24 each or more in recognition of the club’s 24 years of service.
If just 100 people take up this challenge, we will raise over USD 2,400, a crucial boost that will help stabilise the club's financial component and keep our programmes running strong for the children who depend on us. And we believe even know that more than 100 will respond, pushing this figure far beyond the minimum.
Your contribution is more than money.
It is:
