On 8 march 2020 Old Mutare United FC (UMC) hosted the Moslem side ( Al Badr FC) for the mutare urban churches social league match second leg . It was a good and fair game from both parties.

Hello its been a while before we gave you guys the updates about how our team is performing but we are back in 2020 with the second leg results fixures and logo standings

Report:
we hosted RCZ Sakubva for the churches league match second leg. In the early mins of the game OMU/FC conceded the kind of goal they almost never concede anymore, and it gave RCZ Sakubva the perfect platform to lead n defend their lives in our favorite hunting ground.
From this moment our team started relishing defending, treating it like an art form, even if it isn't aesthetically pleasing to watch by any stretch. To call it 'bus parking' is to overlook the sophistication and complexity of OMUFC methods. The team set up in a way which constructs an impenetrable grid, shifting side to side in perfect synchrony so as to systematically block off every possible passing lane between the lines n shots to our 15 year old goal keeper theo Matengambiri.

To old mutare’s credit, they quickly regained their composure after the early set-back and proceeded to dominate the vast majority of the contest high up the pitch, camped deep in RCZ S half and Towards the end of first half, a fine move was witnessed, a good cross from the right was produced ,Smart Mahachi shot deflects kindly into the path of sunrise dhliwayo who just had an easy job to just redirecting it into the far post by an header and ⚽️

Moments later, Brian Machowa (MarshBee) sprinted towards the area, past really wild challenges from RCZ S defense and launched an absolute screamer with his left foot from outside of the box, the shot curled past the goalkeeper toward the far post making it 2-1 and caused the old mutare fans to erupt in jubilation.⚽️

The Captain Frank Chirara was 25 yards out and went through his usual theatrics in preparation to take a freekick OMUFC had been awarded. The strike was perfect over the wall and curling into the top right hand corner and the goalkeeper had no chance he could only watch as the ball sailed into the back of the net.⚽️

Out standing performance was from the 15 year goalkeeper theo matengambiri who saved a lot a balls away from goal.

Date: Sunday 24 November 2019 Old Mutare United departed to Mutanda Primary School for a league match against Lutheran FC. It was an interesting game in deed.

There are lots of factors to distinguish Omufc under Other leaders from the Gunners OMUFC with Coach Takudzwa John Howard Matanga at the helm. He has managed to install team unity in players where everyone looks out for each other, knows they have a part to play be it from the bench or starting 11 leading the team to greater heights.

Last sunday We hosted Good Sherpard FC for the churches league games. It was a good and challenging game since our team was short in players due to injuries and transfers which took place last week but despite the fact we managed to collect all three point in our favorite playing ground.

On the 27th of october we did not play the match against church of christ (COCZ) meaning we have a game in hand

On 2nd of november our team played a match against Hilltop UMC at our favorite hunting ground the old mutare grounds. It was a bit challenging game since hilltop came prepare for the game and geared up to win but would like to thank our fans who motivated our team and reminded them the soil they were playing on and we managed to win the game.

We departed to st dominics secondary school in mutare where we played the UMC deby against king David UMC in a league match and we were defeated

we played the first half well and were leading 2-0 then just after the break one of zzc players was given a red card over reasons best known to the referee but he decided not to go out of the pitch .ZZC players started to quarrel with the ref over his desion we waited a distant from the scene till full time and a win was awarded in favour of us after serious discussions with the league officials, Referee and ZZC representatives.

The scoreline stood at 2-0.

We want to thank our team for showing maturity and let the responsible authorities do their job. We hope and pray we will maintain that good behavior in future again.
