FC Platinum had to languish in the soccer wilderness for another four years before regaining their Division 1 status in 2004 in which they played for six years under the guidance of coaches Luke Petros and John Phiri. Jairos Tapera led the team to their ascension to the apex of local football in 2011.They then changed their name to FC Platinum.
