Not Snowboard related, but as we come to the final few episode of House of the Dragon Season 3 - I'm now allowed to post some shots of my sideline gig from last summer.

For 3 months I worked as a Winter Wolf fighting for Queen Rhaenyra with Roddy the Ruin as our leader played by the legend Tommy Flanagan

3 months of numerous 4/5am starts, 14 hour, 30 degree days, getting kitted up in 20kg of armour, sitting in make up getting dirty and a scar to look more rugged each morning - then running and fighting and crawling and generally trying to look hard as best I could....

Our characters lead the epic battles about to end the season so keep an eye out for fleeting blurred glimpses.... If any 😂

An amazing 3 months on location and at WB studios working alongside an awesome group of wooly jawed blokes. One of the best gigs in a long time, but bloody hard work.

Anyone actually interested can follow the group The Winterwolves. for a load of behind the scenes photos and chat from a lot of the guys I worked with.

Hopefully we bought a bit of real life to the legendary Winter Wolves even tho we are just background dudes 👊

Pop up Riding day today at Snowdome Tamworth 🤘

We had a mix of turn tech and flatland freestyle.

The idea of these days is to understand more of the "why" we do what we do on a snowboard.

It's often over complicated and people over think what you need to do.... Our riding days are about sorting that out. As Eric B. & Rakim said once don't sweat the technique.

Today was a mix of people doing their instructor courses with us in the future and others who are with us on our Japan riding weeks next winter.

🇯🇵 Japan riding week, anyone? 🏂❄️

We’re heading to Japan in January for 7 days of riding, exploring and soaking up everything that makes a snowboard trip to Japan so special.

This isn’t a hardcore hike-for-hours powder mission — it’s about great riding, SBC coaching tips, good laughs, local food, a few beers and the full Japanese snow experience.

We’ll be riding around Niseko, Hirafu, Moiwa, Rusutsu and some smaller local resorts too — chasing the good snow, exploring the trees, hitting night riding and getting stuck into proper Japow without making it a survival expedition.

Only 8 spaces available, so it’ll be a small, friendly crew.

100% pass rate for this bunch of legends on our SBC BASI level 2 snowboard instructor course here in .

We had 4 people with us for the whole winter who were joined by 4 more for our shorter 4 week course.

Everyone smashed it and rode hard.

It wasn't easy and we gave a fair few ass kicks but everyone took it and smashed it.

A proper solid crew.

Big thanks from myself, Kier and Rob and good luck for where ever the level 2 takes you.

It's been a pleasure...... Well most of the time 🤣😉

Seriously tho, it's not just about what we do on the hill, it's also having the ability to interact with clients and make them feel welcome on what for most people is their one week of snowboarding in the year.... And what better way to do that than an apres beer.

Here you can see our BASI level 2 candidates practicing this off snow requirement in preparation for their BASI exams in a couple of weeks.
