The 1K exists for one reason: so the smallest runners get their own start line, their own finish line, and their own medal.

It goes off at 8:40am, right after the 3K, so the whole family can be done and eating breakfast together by 9.

And there's a trophy with their name on it — Scariest Little Monster gets handed out at prize giving at 9:30am.

Costumes strongly encouraged. Face paint absolutely allowed.
