Today, we are so proud to share a special double launch celebrating love, family, and Palestinian culinary heritage: our newest Jiddo Bashir’s Nabulsi Knafeh Kit alongside the upcoming release of the children’s book Home by Dana Alqinneh! 📖🧀

Meet the hands & hearts behind this kit:

👵🏼 Jiddo Bashir: A businessman with a deep love for family gatherings, Jiddo Bashir mastered traditional Nabulsi knafeh from a close friend from Nablus. But he also held tight to his Safad roots—often making a special Safad-style knafeh filled with mixed nuts for his grandmother, Taita Um Izzat.

👨‍👦 Mohammad Kaddoura (Abu Bashir): As a teenager, Mohammad learned the art of knafeh directly from his father. Every Friday after family lunch at his grandmother’s home, four generations would gather around the table as the children eagerly watched and helped. When Mohammad moved to the U.S. for engineering, he carried this sweet tradition with him—and today, he and his wife Neimeh continue to make it for their sons, keeping those memories alive.

📚 Dana Alqinneh: An Early Childhood Education Specialist and former school principal dedicated to culturally responsive learning, Dana is officially launching her beautiful new book, Home, next week!
