Lia Monteiro 🇧🇷 and Reuben McKeown 🇳🇿 are the new Athlete Representatives on the IFA Youth Commission.

Over the next two years, they will represent young players worldwide, bring fresh ideas into the commission and develop their own international youth projects with the support of the IFA. 💡🤝

📢 Schedule Update for the IFA U18 World Championships

One week before the start of the U18 Fistball World Championships in Switzerland, the competition format for the U18 Men’s World Championship has been adjusted following the withdrawal of India due to visa issues.

Seven teams will now compete for the U18 Men’s world title, with the preliminary round played in a round-robin format. The U18 Women’s World Championship remains unchanged, with eight nations competing for the title. The Women’s European Championships are also unaffected by the schedule changes.

💡 New this term: The elected representatives will have the opportunity to develop and implement their own international youth project with the support of the IFA - bringing their ideas to life while gaining valuable experience in the international fistball community.

📩 All IFA Member Federations are invited to nominate suitable candidates.

After a nine-year break, the world's best masters fistball teams will meet again on the international stage. From 21–24 October 2027, Sociedade Ginástica Novo Hamburgo will host the IFA Men's & Women's Masters World Cup in Brazil.

Fair Play is at the heart of fistball! 🌍🤝

On the occasion of World Fair Play Day, the International Fistball Association highlighted the enormous importance of integrity, respect and sportsmanship within our sport.

As part of the new IFA strategy, fair play will continue to play a central role in the future development of international fistball. A special milestone was reached during the IFA Awards on World Fistball Day 2026, when Fair Play Awards were presented for the very first time to three athletes and one team. 🏆

🗣️ “Fair play has an enormous significance in fistball and is one of the core values of our sport. Especially in today’s sporting landscape, it is essential that we continue to actively promote these values at every level of competition,” says IFA President Gastão Englert.

The IFA is proud to be part of the International Fair Play Committee (CIFP) and to support global initiatives promoting ethical sport and integrity worldwide. 🌎
