*CHRISTINE*
Forró may be the reason you’re coming, but we couldn’t let you leave Vienna without trying one of its most iconic dances. 💃

On Sunday afternoon, Christine will swap forró for Viennese Waltz and share a little of her ballroom background with us! With years of competitive ballroom experience, she’ll get us turning around the dance floor in a fun and accessible workshop — whether it’s your very first waltz or you already know your way around a 1-2-3. ✨

Because when in Vienna… waltz! 🇦🇹

*GEORG & THERESA*

Georg & Theresa are local Vienna teachers who have been sharing their passion for Brazilian Zouk for many years. 💫

While Theresa fell in love with the flow and dreaminess of Zouk, Georg heard one of those cool urban Zouk songs and immediately thought: “That’s it — this is my dance.” 😄

Both started their Zouk journey right here in Vienna and care deeply about growing the local community, creating spaces where people can learn, explore and simply enjoy dancing together.

This November, they’re bringing a little Brazilian Zouk into the 4th Vienna Forró Festival — and we can’t wait to have them with us! 💛🔥

*DJ NELE*
Nele discovered forró six years ago in Northeast Berlin. This year, she started studying and exploring forró rhythms through DJing, discovering the music from a whole new perspective. 🎶

This November, she’ll join us at the 4th Vienna Forró Festival for a very special milestone: her first time mixing forró at a festival! 💛

*MARCOS AFFONSO*

Born and raised in Salvador, Bahia, Marcos Affonso discovered dance as a child and later turned it into his profession, graduating in Dance from the Federal University of Bahia in 2010. 🇧🇷

With a background spanning forró, Cuban dances, samba de gafieira and tango, Marcos now focuses mainly on Forró Roots, for which he has developed his own methodology. His teaching explores musicality, partner connection and new possibilities for movement, bringing influences from his broad dance experience into his forró. 🎶

Since 2018, Marcos has been teaching internationally, sharing his work at festivals and events across Europe.

He’s coming to Vienna for the first time to join us for the 4th edition of Vienna Forró Festival! 💛🔥

*DJ MORENO*

Born in Chile, DJ Moreno spent almost a year in São Paulo — where he may have had his first taste of forró (and definitely picked up some Portuñol skills 😄). But it was later, while living in Brussels, that he truly discovered the forró world and became part of the scene.

Behind the decks, he loves exploring the incredible diversity of forró music: slow and fast, old and new, traditional and unexpected. 🎶 Orchestrated sounds, balanços, female voices, violins, clarinets, saxophones and irresistible melodies are especially close to his heart.

And now, DJ Moreno is coming to Vienna for the first time to join us for the 4th edition of Vienna Forró Festival this November! 💛

*ARIANNA MANCA*

Italian-born and Lisbon-based, Arianna Manca combines her background in Medicine and Dance in a technical, light and engaging approach to forró, with a strong focus on body awareness, comfort and freedom on the dance floor. 💃

After years of exploring different dance styles, she discovered forró in Lisbon in 2022 — and fell straight down the rabbit hole! Since then, she has trained intensively across Europe and Brazil and started teaching in 2024.

From Roots to Universitário, Arianna encourages both leaders and followers to explore movement with autonomy, expression and connection. In 2026, she launched her own project, Forró com Ari, and took her teaching on tour across Germany and Switzerland. 🌍

And now it’s Vienna’s turn! 💛 Arianna will join us for the first time at the 4th edition of Vienna Forró Festival in 2026! 🔥

*CAINÃ ARAÚJO*
Singer, composer, poet and accordionist, Cainã Araújo has been playing accordion since the age of nine and performing professionally since he was 14. 🪗

Rooted in traditional Northeastern forró, Cainã launched his solo career in Brazil in 2015. His album Estrada do Meu Peito brought wider recognition in 2018, before his journey took him to Europe, where he continued developing his original repertoire with Eu e Ela no Forró. 🎶

Since then, he has performed across Europe at festivals such as Forró London, Ai Que Bom Festival in Paris, Tome Forró in Germany and Forró Roma, as well as in many other European countries.

And we’re very happy to welcome him back: integral part of our festival, Cainã is joining Vienna Forró Festival for the THIRD time, for our 4th edition! 💛🔥

Get ready for that accordion! 🪗💃
