How long can a great voice last?

Leo Nucci gives us an inspiring answer.

Even in his eighties, he continued to perform one of the most demanding baritone roles in the operatic repertoire: Rigoletto.

Of course, every voice changes with age.

But healthy classical singing isn't about trying to sound twenty forever. It's about building a technique that allows your voice to remain free, expressive and reliable for as many years as possible.

That's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about teaching solid vocal foundations from the very beginning.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to still be singing with joy decades from now?

If you'd like to build a healthy classical singing technique that can support you for a lifetime, comment MASTER and let's start your journey together.

Our little Pavarotti! ❤️

Almost every parent believes their child is exceptionally talented… but sometimes, they may actually be right.

This little singer joins Pavarotti with such enthusiasm and musical instinct that it immediately catches your attention. Whether he will become a professional singer one day is impossible to know-but genuine talent often reveals itself surprisingly early.

The most important thing is that a beautiful young voice develops naturally, healthily and without pressure.

Over many years, I've developed a special step-by-step approach for highly talented young singers, helping them build a solid classical technique while protecting their voices.

Do you think exceptional vocal talent can already be recognised in childhood?

If you have a gifted young singer at home-or you're curious about your own vocal potential-comment ANALYSIS and send me a singing video. I'll provide detailed professional feedback on the voice, its current potential and the best path forward.

Luciano Pavarotti never walked onto the stage without preparing his voice first.

These vocal exercises weren't random. They helped him coordinate breath, vocal fold closure, resonance and freedom before facing one of the world's greatest opera stages.

Many singers struggle with high notes, vocal fatigue or consistency, not because they lack talent, but because they skip the right preparation. Even Pavarotti relied on intelligent, systematic warm-ups before every performance.

That's one of the biggest misconceptions in classical singing: people admire the performance but rarely see the preparation behind it.

Do you have a vocal warm-up routine before you sing?

Marilyn Horne's advice for young singers is as relevant today as ever.

A successful career requires far more than a beautiful voice.

It takes focus, discipline, resilience- and the courage to make difficult decisions.

As Marilyn Horne says, you need to be honest with yourself, surround yourself with the right people and learn to ignore bad advice.

This is something I discuss with all of my singers. Great technique is essential, but so is having a clear artistic direction and a realistic career plan.

That's why, inside my coaching, we don't just work on vocal technique. We also work on repertoire, auditions, career strategy and the many decisions that shape a singer's future.

What piece of career advice has stayed with you throughout your life?

One wrong decision at an audition can cost you far more than you think.

Many singers spend months preparing the perfect aria- but then make mistakes before they even start singing.

Sometimes it's the repertoire.
Sometimes it's nerves.
Sometimes it's trying too hard to impress.

A successful audition isn't just about having a beautiful voice. It's about making intelligent artistic decisions and presenting the very best version of yourself.

What do YOU think is the biggest mistake singers make at auditions?

If you're preparing for auditions, competitions or performances and would like my personal feedback on your voice, technique and interpretation, comment SESSION and I'll send you all the details.

Teresa Stratas was my Salome.

When I auditioned for my first contract at a German opera house, her unforgettable interpretation inspired me to choose Salome's final scene.

That audition changed my life.

What has fascinated me ever since is that Stratas never relied on a huge, heavy sound. Instead, she combined extraordinary dramatic intensity with a voice that remained flexible, focused and free.

To me, that's one of the greatest lessons in classical singing: true dramatic power doesn't come from force.

It comes from outstanding technique and complete artistic commitment.

Did you ever have one singer who completely changed your idea of what great singing could be?

If you'd like to work with me personally on your own voice, vocal technique and artistic development, comment SESSION and I'll send you all the details.

Why do classical singers sound so different?

One of the biggest differences isn't louder singing-it's more acoustic space.

A beautiful classical tone needs room to resonate.

That's why we work on creating an open, flexible vocal tract rather than forcing the sound.

Some singers find it helpful to imagine a bubble behind the eyes. Others respond better to different images.

The important thing is that the voice feels free, balanced and never squeezed.

Of course, inner space ALONE isn't enough.

It works together with balanced breath support, an efficient laryngeal position, a forward vocal focus and a naturally released jaw.

Building a beautiful classical sound doesn't happen overnight. It takes patience-but every step is worth it.

That's exactly what we build together inside my Online Classical Singing Masterclass:

from the very first exercises to complete opera arias.

One production. Three legendary tenors. One unforgettable scandal.

In 1978, Herbert von Karajan's television production of Il trovatore at the Vienna State Opera became one of the most talked-about opera stories of its time.

Within just one year, the role of Manrico passed from Luciano Pavarotti to Franco Bonisolli and finally to Plácido Domingo.

Bonisolli's dramatic exit during the dress rehearsal has become part of opera history.

Although some of the stories surrounding it have grown into legend, the documented events are dramatic enough on their own.

Which of these three tenors would YOU have chosen as Manrico: Pavarotti, Bonisolli or Domingo?

Behind every successful opera career are countless hours of intelligent, focused work.

⏰ Last chance! 50% OFF my Professional Voice Analysis ends tomorrow, August 15, at 11:59 PM (Vienna time).

Fritz Wunderlich remains one of the greatest lyric tenors in history. Tragically, he died in 1966 at the age of just 35, only days before his birthday.

What continues to fascinate me is not only the beauty of his voice, but the effortless freedom of his technique. Listen to the seamless legato, the natural vocal flow and the expressive phrasing—never forced, always musical.

To me, this German version of Lensky's aria is one of the most moving recordings ever made.

What do you admire most about Fritz Wunderlich's singing?

If you'd like to discover what your voice already does well, what's holding it back, and how you can improve it, now is the perfect time.

Comment ANALYSIS and I'll send you all the details before the 50% offer ends.
