The Rittner Buam SkyAlps opened their preseason on Friday evening with a home game against Milano Hockey Club. After an early lead by the visitors, Kostner turned the match temporarily in favor of the home side. In the end, the new team from the win2day ICE Hockey League narrowly prevailed 3–2.

This weekend, several Alps Hockey League teams are back in preseason action. The defending champions, HC Gherdëina, face HCB Südtirol Alperia from the win2day ICE Hockey League. While HC Meran/o Pircher takes on Fassa, the Rittner Buam SkyAlps and the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan face off against German opponents.

In addition, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors continue their preseason program with test games in Sweden.
