Vics tough it out at OTRC ๐Ÿ’ช

Our Victorian U22 Team braved challenging conditions at Wyaralong Dam over the weekend, showing plenty of grit and resilience across both days of racing.

Representing the Big White V against five other teams, Victoria finished 3rd in the overall point score and 5th in the sculling point score. ๐Ÿฅ‰

Congratulations to New Zealand North Island and ACT for claiming the Rusty Robertson and Noel Donaldson trophies respectively.

We also saw a feature from Victorians Tom Foley & Winston Hooper, racing by invitation on Day 2 with the Australian U23 sweep squad. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Well done to our athletes, coaches and supporters for their efforts throughout the regatta, and thank you to Rowing Queensland for their organising efforts. ๐Ÿ‘

We look forward to seeing what 2027 bringsโ€ฆ hopefully with some flat water this time! ๐Ÿ˜…

It was a stormy finish to the Victorian rowing season at the RV Masters State Championships in Nagambie! โ›ˆ๏ธ

Well done to all competitors, and congratulations to our medal recipients! It was great to see such a positive attitude maintained despite the disruptions to racing.

Strong performances from Melbourne Rowing Club crews helped them secure top spot in the overall medal tally, followed by Yarra Yarra & Corio Bay. ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ‘

Nick Inglis (Yarra Yarra) led the individual menโ€™s tally with 8 Golds, whilst Christine Camille (Essendon) was the top-performing woman securing 5 Gold medals. ๐Ÿ’ช

As always, a big thank you to our amazing team of umpires & volunteers! ๐Ÿ™Œ

We wish the best of luck to those venturing to Champion Lakes, WA, for the upcoming AMRC from May 27-30. ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ
