💫 LIFE MEMBERSHIP | ADAM GRIFFITH 💫

Congratulations to Adam Griffith, who has been awarded Life Membership of Boomers FC 👏🔴⚪️⚫️

Some may not know that Adam’s connection with Boomers started long before his adult years. He was part of the Boomers family as a junior before moving away after high school — but thankfully, he eventually found his way back home in 2016.

And for the past 10 years, Adam has given so much to our club.

From coaching MiniRoos and junior teams, to being our Registrar (a role he still holds today), MiniRoos Coordinator alongside his wife Anna, and Junior Coordinator, Adam has worn just about every hat there is.

And when he’s not volunteering his time, you’ll still find him doing what he loves — lacing up the boots and getting out on the pitch! ⚽

It’s hard to find an area of the club that Adam hasn’t contributed to. 👏

A few years ago, our MiniRoos program was at a point where we were in danger of missing the boat altogether. Adam and Anna stepped in, created an environment where kids could thrive, and helped build the program into what it is today. From there, the numbers grew — and so did the future of our club.

That impact goes well beyond the roles and titles. It’s about the countless hours, the kids he has coached, the families he has welcomed, and the time and energy he has continually given to Boomers.

This Life Membership is so incredibly well deserved. 💫

Boomers FC is incredibly lucky to have you, Adam. Thank you for everything you have given — and continue to give — to our club.

Our 13s players, coaches, parents and family all singing the boomers song after their cup win yesterday.

It’s a family club and if we don’t have parents or caregivers driving these kids to training or games week in week out, these kids wouldn’t be able to do what they do.

So when we sing the booma song especially after a cup final we want everyone involved. 👏👏👏

To the parents, to the caregivers, to the siblings that get dragged along this is for you.

We hear our 13s parents nailed the celebrations afterwise as well 🤫⚫️⚪️🔴

💫Final hours to get your junior presentation and senior presentation tickets. Both functions are shaping to be great events.

✨16 Girls ⚫️🔴⚪️ heartbreaking loss yesterday. Going down in Penalties is always tough.

What a game though. You all played amazing.

Your support crew on the side line - parents, siblings, grandparents, extended families, friends and your booma family were right with you.

To Bree, Steve and Em - well done, what you have been able to achieve this year for these girls - taking out league champs is no easy feat.

We hope to see you all at junior presentation to celebrate the year. ⚫️⚪️🔴

Three of our superstar under 12s are currently representing Riverina at the NSW PSSA football championships.

Boomers FC would like to congratulate one of our own life members - Kiera Hayes on receiving life membership to Albury-Wodonga Football Association last night.

This is an outstanding achievement and one very well deserved.
Your commitment to not only Boomers FC but AWFA goes beyond your playing days. The administrative side, the referring side and we have it on good authority even a little coaching stint for good measure. There is not a lot you haven’t done for our sport. It can be challenging at times stepping into roles where opinions differ and ideas dont always align. One thing is for certain you have held your head high through the highs and the lows. 👏

It’s the dedication you have shown of very many years service that makes sense for you to receive this recognition. You are in an elite group of people.

🔴⚪️⚫️Shout out to our teams who were unsuccessful over the weekend in securing a spot in the cup final.

12 boys Pool B
12 girls white
14 girls white
14 boys
Div 1 ladies

Your efforts across the season have not gone unnoticed.

Our 12 boys finished 2nd overall in their pool and for majority of these kids this was their first taste at competitive football. (Straight out of mini roos) Phenomenal effort all season.

12 girls white - our little bottom age fighters. These girls finished 3rd overall. Huge achievement given every single of them can play 12s next year. What a great little team and we look forward to seeing what you can do next year.

14 boys - started the season unsure if we would get a team on the park to push into a semi final spot shows the determination and persistences this team has had all year. Possibly some of the most humorous moments from this season came from this group. Great bunch of teenagers and we hope to see them stick around next season for 16 boys. Which we haven’t had in a few years.

14 girls white

Another strong performance during the year which rightfully so meant a semi finals birth awaited. Falling short yesterday but the courage and commitment these young group of girls have is second to none. Proud of their efforts and will be a force next year.

Div 1 ladies

Our senior ladies have had an up and down year off the pitch which meant at times fielding a team for a game was a struggle. They as a group have been through more than any playing group should have to go through in a lifetime let alone one season. Still fought hard to make their way into the semis. Falling by 1 goal yesterday to the team they beat in the cup final the previous year, they are probably feeling this one today. Keep your heads up ladies. The club is proud of every single one of you.

Always hard to fall short in a semi, however our coaches, managers, parents and supporters are so proud. 🔴⚪️⚫️
