A few runs down post foot surgery feeling better every day a few dogs on the bar and a great little morning hunt with my young fella seeing a nice little fallow hind fall.
Still a few more to put away yet before they disappear into dens and things slow down for a while .
The vixen in heat or foxes fighting pulling them in hard as it always does at this time of the year .
New Nocpix Lumi getting a run and doing everything that's asked of it ๐Ÿ‘
The FranchiFeelsRight horizon elite and Rico combo never ceasing to impress at distance as usual .

Meat runs with my boy๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ
Lucky enough to have a few properties with small fallow populations that I'm fortunate enough to chase in the rare moments im not chasing foxes .
This nice little doe trusted the 250 odd metre distance was enough to keep her safe unfortunately I had a steady rest and put her down off the bonnet.
Little drag out with my main man and she's in the fridge ๐Ÿ‘
Fortunate to have access to some magic parts of our great country โค๏ธ

Three big boys out looking for love instead all caught a case of lead poisoning ๐ŸฅŠ
Lambing is just around the corner for this property mitigating a few before that happens .
I didn't shoot all that well admitably but they all fell down and expired all the same.

Right at the start of lambing I broke my foot in 6 places requiring surgery.
Last night was the return to the darkness to the fog to wind and the sleet ๐Ÿฅถ .
A big property with a stretched out lambing season seeing them still amongst the ewes giving a few lambs a hard time.
5 solid dogs made mistakes and chose to stay in range of the 22-250 and the rest is history ๐ŸฅŠ
A gentle start to feel the foot out and see if I still knew what I was doing ๐Ÿ˜‚

The last couple of red coats I'll shoot for a while ๐Ÿคฆ

Unfortunately I've sustained a mid foot fracture (lisfranc) I'll be out of the paddocks for an extended period missing fallow rut and a fair slog of lambing.

A massive thanks to anyone who followed liked and shared my footage and posts.

A big thanks to for the recent colab.

Mark my words I'll be back stretching that long gun into the darkness in a few months time๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ

Stay safe and keep that cheek welded ๐ŸฅŠ.

Our time with the Slim H35

Over the past month we have been putting this small form factor super light weight thermal scope through its paces it's no secret our passion is hunting invasive European Red Foxes in Australia.

and are no secret to our hunting endeavours.

The light weight small form factor unit was paired with the little 17hmr and off we went doing what we do best taking foxes away from fragile farming and native ecosystems.

First impressions were simple.
Its unbelievable how far thermal tech has come!
This tiny scope weighing in at 500grams hiding a 640res sensor and impressively low NETD (thermal sensitivity).
2x base mag
A crisp amoled display
RAV (Recoil activated video) and audio recording .

There isn't all that many 640 res thermal scopes in Australia at this price point and it's certainly a contender for someone's first step into this world.

We took foxes and rabbits at varying distances with zero issue.
The unit holds an image together very well under zoom and we could have easily mounted it on our go to fox cal (22-250) and stretched it out further.

If you are in the market put this little gem into serious consideration ๐Ÿซก

Old School vs New school tonight

The Slim H35 with a 17HMR
The Infiray Rico RL42 (gen 1) with a 22-250

6 adult foxes finding their ends tonight at varying distances under a range of conditions.

The Rico and the 22-250 took the long stuff
The H35 took care of the ones in close with ease sitting on the 17HMR.

Lambing is approaching for a number of my property owners and it's time to get on these things๐Ÿ‘

A night in the dark with the Nocpix Slim H35.

A massive thanks to Ground Force International for sending this ripper little unit out with me for a ride !

Small form factor 640 res unit that really packs a punch all in a 500gram unit !

The little 17HMR pairs with this scope perfectly when they are in close the large field of view allowed me to get on them quick !
The Slim H35 holds an image together very well at distances well beyond what I'd be comfortable stretching the hot little HMR to.

4 big dog foxes and two vixens fell for various tricks including the trusty Bluetooth speaker and a few convincing kissy lips ๐Ÿ’‹ .

I hate the moon and it hates me but these three held range long enough to have their clocks punched ๐Ÿซก
