Statement from the Onkaparinga Cubs regarding the withdrawal of both teams from the 2025 SA Winter Baseball Association season.

Dear Cubs members & supporters,

After a successful couple of seasons in Division 4, the Onkaparinga Cubs were looking to expand into two teams for the 2025 season. The goal was to provide our more experienced players, coming over from the summer clubs, the opportunity to play in Division 2, while also aiming for our Division 4 team to be promoted into Division 3.

However, after careful consideration and evaluation of our current player roster, also incorporating the latest playing conditions, the club has made the difficult decision to withdraw both of our teams from the 2025 season. We believe that it is in the best interest of the club to take a step back and reevaluate our strategy for the future.

We understand the disappointment this may cause to our players and supporters, but please know that this decision was not made lightly. We will continue to work towards continued growth in our numbers and return to competition next year.

The Cubs would like to thank all our players, coaches, and sponsors for their dedication and commitment to the club. We look forward to returning to the field in the future with renewed energy and determination.
