Good Afternoon Bowlers.

Another amazing day on the green. We broke another record with 25 members particpating this week.

We have ONE week remaining of our 2026 John Healy Memorial Pennant. I would like to break this record again!

One Week, make yourself available for bowls Saturday 3rd October. 9 AM. Starting about 9.15 AM.

Results from today, Pat is a hard man to keep down, taking the day 3 wins +37 shots. Josh back in town not far behind 3 wins, +26 shots, and a notable result Jenny with 3 wins +17 shots,

Notable performances, Dave Knight 2 wins +15 shots, Ronnie Poortier with 2 wins+13 shots, and Phil Ryan last day with us 2 wins, +10 shots.

With Josh and Jenny having a great day, this has catapulted the yellow team couple wins clear, but anything can still happen in the final week. Will lady AI, grant a favourable draw for our yellow teams members going into the last week of our pennant.

The Ironman Plate Individual Medley, Pat has kept a lead of one win over Pablo, with Ligi and Yvonne 2 wins back.

I will quickly touch on team balancing. Once everyone has a team, that's it, you have a team. As we want everyone to be included, Each week I evaluted who has turned up. We had 6 for Blue Roos, 5 for Red - Dingoes, 4 Yellow Eagles and 7 for the Green Lizards.

It was great to have 3 new participants, with Ron Saint joining the dingos to make 6 bodies on the green, and we welcomed Greg Clark to bowls, and Josh's fly in fly out appearnace, both ended up in the yellow team. Which meant every team had 6 players on the green, and the rest was left upto the draw.

It's great having so many people on the green and enjoying their bowls. Looking forward to the conclusion next Saturday.

If you are running late or something happens, SAVE my number - 0475 ### ### please send me a text you are coming, so we can get the draw under way - 0475 ### ###.

See you next week on the green!

Good Afternoon Bowlers,

2026 ASGC John Healy Memorial Pennant - Week 3

23 Bowlers played today. Week 1 we had an even 20, week 2 we had another 20, this week 23. It is great to have so many people participating and enjoying their bowls. Every game is having bearing on the end results.
The Blue Roos has 5.5 members, with Kylee, Geoff.S and Adrian rotating through, The red DINGOES had 6 members, the yellow EAGLES had 6 members, and the green LIZARDS had 5 members. Every team had opportunity today.

With Pat, Josh and Bruce Thomas away representing us at the BPL finals in Katherine. We had some movement on our "Ironman/Ironwoman Plate Individual Medley" standings.

The Yellow EAGLES are soaring back up the team leaderboard with Hookie, Yvonne and Bill achieving some great results to help their team today.

Charlie has been welcomed back into the pack as a red DINGO, with a great day out, claiming the day with 3 wins, +18 shots, with Yvonne not far behind, 3 wins + 12 shots.

Hookie and Lindsay drew 3rd with 2.5 wins +6 shots. Another roll off corner to corner, saw Hookie draw right to the plinth of the green. Lindsay showed her class and drew under Hookie, to claim outright 3rd today.

Other notable performances, Katherine, preparing to represent the NT again, a solid 2 wins +16 shots, with Scott Adams hot on her heels, 2 wins +14 shots.

We welcomed Geoff Matters to bowls as a travelling bowler, and Adrian Casey has found a home with the blue ROOS.

I said it the first week, every bowl matters and has an impact on the games and end result.

If you are not at bowls you are missing out !!!!

With 2 weeks remaining, every team is still in the hunt for the 2026 ASGC John Healy Memorial Pennant win!

Pat is still leading our "Ironman Plate Individual Medley" by only shots, wins will change this up.

Put it in your calendar, get to bowls on Saturday morning 9am for 9.30am start.

** CHAT GPT struggled this week with the draw, I'll add some more rules, it's a work in progess, but great to see everyone rotating through different games and rinks.
