LAWN BOWLS AT ASGC

8 players today for a lovely afternoon of bowling. All players hit the jack at least once with Geoff winning the money again. Marie came to say goodbye as she is leaving Alice Springs next Wed. We would like to wish Marie the best for her next adventure. A big 2 weeks coming up with the singles being played this weekend. Welcome to the visitors who are coming to Alice for the competitions.

A good turn out for bowls this afternoon with 17 players. The weather was much warmer than last week so many were enjoying the warmer weather. Some good bowling, some close game, with Rob C winning all 3 games followed by Wendy then Paul. The Festival is starting next weekend with the singles competition. Good luck to all players. It will be good to have lots of visitors participating.

🏆 Australian National Championships Update 3 🏆

The 4's campaign has come to an end at the Australian National Championships, with Josh van Haaren and Alex Brennan, alongside teammates Jayden Gebbie and Allan Brough, going down 20–10 in the Round of 32.

While the result wasn't what they were hoping for, the team can be incredibly proud of their efforts in reaching the knockout stages of a national title event and competing against some of the best bowlers in Australia.

👏 Congratulations to Josh, Alex, Jayden and Allan on a fantastic 4's campaign and for representing their clubs with pride.

🎳 The good news is that Josh and Alex are still alive in the Pairs competition and continue their quest for Australian Championship glory in the knockout rounds!

Thursday night social bowls is so successful that 18 players turned up with 8 being new players. Fantastic to see. Remember that the bowls now start at 6 pm due to the cooler weather. Thanks for the photos Jenny. Keep enjoying everyone. Good to see lots of good bowling happening.

Australian National Bowls Championships Update 2

Josh continues his impressive run at the Australian National Championships!

In the Fours competition, Josh, Alex, Jayden , and Allan produced another strong performance, defeating their opponents 20–11 to advance to the Round of 32.

The team worked brilliantly together throughout the match, maintaining control and building pressure to secure a convincing victory. Their excellent form continues as they move one step closer to the Australian national title.

A lovely afternoon on the green with 11 players. 2 games of 10 ends. Some games were one sided but everyone had fun. Good to see Mandy and Allen back and both in fine form today. Also welcome to Jim, our visitor from Melb. Welcome back to Cathy who has been away for most of the year. All players hit the jack, some on numerous occasions, with Geoff taking out the winning money.
