The Netball Association provides a great game for children as young as 5 in the form of Net-Set-Go; a program designed for young children wanting to join the fun and learn the skills of Netball. This is generally run twice a year. Games throughout the season (March-September) have teams from 9&Under to 17&under and senior grades from D all the way up to the elite A Grade.

Looking for a fun and active school holiday activity?

Netball NT School Holiday Clinics are back in Darwin and Alice Springs, providing a fun, inclusive and development-focused environment for children aged 5–13 years.

TUESDAYS
// Netball Foundations Clinics (Ages 5–10)

WEDNESDAYS
// Junior Development Clinics (Ages 11–13)

Beginners are always welcome.

IMPORTANT: Different age groups attend on different days, so please ensure you register your child for the clinic that matches their age group.

Clinics run from 9:00am to 3:00pm and cost $88 per day.

Places are limited, and registrations will close once capacity is reached. Registration is not confirmed until payment has been received.

The program supports volunteer coaches and officials from across the Territory to develop their skills, expand their networks, and continue progressing within their chosen sport.

Over a nine-month period, successful applicants receive tailored development opportunities, with many participants going on to access state, national and international pathways.

If you are an accredited coach or official working with a recognised Peak Sporting Body, we encourage you to take advantage of this fantastic development opportunity.

The team will compete interstate at the 2026 Netball Australia First Nations Tournament, bringing together athletes from across Australia for five days of competition and cultural connection.

The program runs from July to September and forms an important part of the Netball NT and Netball Australia pathway, providing accelerated and equitable opportunities for First Nations athletes to develop and showcase their talent.

PLAYERS | DRAGONFLIES NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN

Netball NT is now accepting player nominations for the 2026 Marie Little Shield.

The Dragonflies proudly represent the Northern Territory at the Marie Little Shield, Australia’s premier national netball competition for women with an intellectual disability.

In 2026, the team will travel to Melbourne to compete against teams from across Australia from 4–6 September.

Players wishing to be considered for selection must be 16 years of age or older in 2026, and hold a current Sport Inclusion Australia classification, or complete an eligibility assessment.

If you’d like to represent the Northern Territory as part of the Dragonflies, we’d love to hear from you.

Player nominations close at 11:59pm on Sunday 28 June.
