The Onkaparinga Valley Football Club

The Onkaparinga Valley Football Club Onkas is more than a football club. The Onkaparinga Valley Football Club was formed from the amalgamation of the Hills Football League in 1967.

Built on family, community and Bulldog pride, we've created a place where generations come together to play, support and belong. ❤️🤍💙 The Onkaparinga Football Club joined with the woodside Football Club to form the present Onkaparinga Valley Football Club and made their home at Balhannah oval. Woodside oval has remained a training ground for many junior teams. The red, white and blue tri-colours of Woodside were the chosen colours with the Bulldog becoming the adopted symbol of the Club. In 1977 the Club became the only Club in the Hills Football League to own their headquarters. The change rooms and lounge area was built by a very hard working team lead by President David Paschke and his Committee, the now disbanded “Bulldogs Club” and a building committee of local builders that love football and the OVFC in 1978. The combined Club won their first Premiership by defeating Heathfield Aldgate (and ending their hope of leaving the HFL as having won the last 10 premiership in a row. The Club has a very strong Junior structure and fields six under age teams from Under 8’s, Under 10’s, Under 12’s plus Junior and Senior colts. The Senior structure has 3 teams being A1’s, A2’s and C grade. From about mid March the Club kitchen and dining area room is open for evening meals on Thursday nights during the football season. The meals are cooked and prepared by Senior Club members lead by Mark Green and the happy group you would wish to meet. The meals are of a very high standard and low priced so please call in and say hello to the boys and have a laugh with them. In the year 2007 major up grade work was carried out in the lounge area, making the Club one of the best if not the best in the Adelaide Hills district.

'A' GRADE DEBUT

Congratulations to Onkas Junior Jax Heading who graduated into the Seniors with his A Grade Debut Saturday against Nairne.

Jax has worked really hard and is a very committed and dedicated footballer who thoroughly deserved his chance.

Jax played well and in one of the highlights of the game, he slotted his first goal and was met with every player involved in celebrations.

Well done Jax, we are all very proud of you. ❤️🤍💙

The finals are here, and we need the Onkas community behind us! ❤️💙

Beaming Rainbows have almost reached a major sales milestone, which will mean a fantastic donation back to the Onkas Football Club at the end of the finals season.
