Bellingen Valley Working Equitation

Bellingen Valley Working Equitation We are a friendly, supportive equestrian club who puts the welfare of the horse first. Working Equitation includes dressage, cattle penning & obstacles.

Fun for horse and rider! We meet the 4th Sunday of the month & offer clinics and occasional comps. The Bellingen Valley Working Equitation (BVWE) Mission Statement is in line with and inspired by Australian National Working Equitation (ANWE). BVWE’s mission is to promote and develop the discipline of Working Equitation; upholding the ideals and philosophies of classical dressage and traditional horsemanship whilst incorporating the heritage of Australian bush culture and station horses. BVWE offers a nurturing, caring environment for riders, regardless of choice or breed of horse. BVWE places an emphasis on harmony between horse and rider and the quality of training and riding. BVWE demands humane, correct and progressive training and conditioning of the horse resulting in physical and mental soundness, while also staying true to the sport.

The fastest rider of the 2026 world championship. Thierry Vergez from the French team (the team finished second overall).

A challenging speed test with a few obstacles that could fall down, creating time penalties.

Thierry did well combining going fast and keeping his horse calm and under control.

This is filmed from the french team... you can feel the spirit on the side line!!

Well thats a wrap for the 2026 WAWE World Championship in Jerez, Spain. So many Australian supporters!!

An amazing competition and the Australian team, who as a team competed for the first time in the workd championships, did really well! Finishing 10 overall, the team spirit was strong.
