We couldn’t go without further recognising these two for being selected as finalists for Volunteer of the Year as part of this years Basketball Victoria Awards.
Both Fiona and Emma are integral members of our BBA Inc Committee and work tirelessly in ensuring our community continue to have Basketball programs available to them.

Asked for her thoughts on what sets BBA Inc apart from other associations, Fiona said,
“BBA Inc is a small but mighty club with a big heart and an even bigger passion for basketball. What sets us apart is our amazing community of passionate, selfless members who genuinely want to see the sport grow and create opportunities for everyone to get involved.
At BBA Inc, it’s about more than just basketball — it’s about building connections, supporting one another and creating a strong sense of belonging. Our people are our greatest strength, and together, we’re growing the game and making a positive difference in our community.”

Emma discussed what she takes the most enjoyment from, in her role on our committee and said,
“I can definitely say it’s the kids. When I started our basketball journey Benalla Basketball was going through a rough patch. I reached out and offered to help because the thought of not having this facility for this town and the kids was not something I was willing to accept.
Our committee has done so much to be where we are today, we are a small but mighty committee and have so much to offer with Aussie Hoops, Domestic, Representative, All Abilities and now re entering CBL.”

Congratulations Fiona and Emma.
