🏌️‍♀️❄️ WOMEN’S JUNE CLUB MEDAL ❄️🏌️‍♀️

Well… June certainly arrived and so did winter! 🥶🌧️

A huge congratulations to all of the ladies who ventured out on Wednesday and braved the tough winter conditions. It was certainly not a day for the faint-hearted, with a wet course, cold winds and some very “interesting” pin placements (thanks ground staff hehe 😄).

Despite the challenging conditions, a massive congratulations goes to one of our newer golfers, Cheryl Ennis, who took out the June Women’s Club Medal with a fantastic score of +1! 👏⛳

An incredible effort considering the next closest score was +6, proving just how difficult the conditions really were on the day. What a wonderful achievement Cheryl — congratulations again! 💙

The perfect way to finish the day was back in the clubhouse warming up by the fire and with some absolutely delicious homemade soup and rolls. A huge thank you to Donna Guille, Ange Harris and Kerry McCluskey for the amazing selection, along with Allie Serafini for always catering so thoughtfully for our gluten free members.

And of course, thank you to Denise Renzi for the beautiful dessert — the perfect finish to a cold winter’s day 🍲🍰

A special thank you also goes to Jo McCann for organising the catering and to Catherine & Joan for what may have been one of the best raffles yet! Along with everyone who donated prizes and helped make the day even more special.

🏆 2026 Nell Chamberlain Knockout 🏆

What a fantastic season of match play golf for our 2026 Nell Chamberlain Knockout, with 28 women signing up and battling it out across 6 rounds of competition.

After weeks of great golf, the final came down to Bernice Campbell and Jenny Donaldson, with both ladies producing an outstanding display in the decider. Jenny finished with a terrific 37 Stableford points, while Bernice delivered the round of her life, shooting an incredible 41 Stableford points and a brilliant 76 off the stick — just 4 over par! 👏⛳

Another amazing achievement and another time seeing her name proudly added to the board.

Round 1 certainly lived up to the hype, with excitement right across the course as teams finally got to battle it out for premiership points! 🔥

We saw some fantastic golf, plenty of laughs, close contests and even a couple of DRAWN matches in Conference 2 proving just how even this competition is shaping up to be 👀

From big wins to nail-biting finishes, every point already feels important and the ladders are starting to take shape after an awesome opening round.

A huge congratulations to all teams who teed it up over the weekend — the spirit, banter and team atmosphere around the club was outstanding 🙌

An outstanding achievement by all players involved and a fantastic reward for all the hard work, commitment and team spirit shown throughout the season. A shout out to both Axedale teams for making it a close match in both Division 2 Finals.

The day was made even more special with 29 players enjoying our 9-hole competition before everyone came together for lunch, dessert and presentations in the clubhouse.

A massive shout out to the ground staff for presenting the course in fantastic condition.

A huge thank you to Heather Martin and Shirley Hammond for assisting with the lunch preparations — your efforts are always appreciated.

Special thanks also to our Pennant Sub Committee for all of their hard work keeping pennant running so smoothly throughout the season, with a very special mention to our own Bernice Campbell for her organisation and dedication.
