What a great fun night it was tonight at our regular Friday evening junior tournament. Tonight was the first of what is to become a regular monthly event, where players are encouraged to come dressed as the theme for the night.
Tonight's theme was to "come dressed as your favourite character or person." Everyone joined in. A fun time was had by all and, as usual, games were hard-fought.

We were advised today of the passing of Jack Turnbull, one of our foundation members and a great supporter of the club.

Jack was our original vice president and held that position for many years. He was our first life member. He played a huge role in getting the club going in the days when the courts were composed of gravel with plastic lines and required continual bagging, watering and rolling. He was a very active member in the development of the club.

Many of you may know Jack as the owner of a chemist shop in the main street of Toronto for many years.

He was 100 years old.
