Evan’s professionalism, judgement and race management expertise have supported major events across Australia. As a qualified National Race Officer, Regional Judge, and experienced Safety Boat Operator, Evan is a dependable race official who strives to ensure racing is fair, consistent and safe for competitors. He has been involved with significant events including Sail Port Stephens as a Protest Committee member and on-water official, Race Officer for various club annual regattas and class association events, as well as playing an instrumental role in the delivery of Zhik Youth Sail NSW in 2025. Congratulations Evan on this well-deserved recognition!

The fleet took on a blustery northerly wind in Race 1 of the Saturday Spring Pointscore. With peak gusts in the mid-30 knot range, we saw a few retirements.

The Noel Richardson Memorial Passage Race got off to an 'early' start, with a few competitors pressing a little close to the line. After a general recall the fleet headed off to Pulbah.We have named this race in the memory of Noel, who was instrumental in the success of the Northshore Regatta over many many years.

We're excited! 17 Northshore Yachts will line up tomorrow for the annual Northshore Yachts Regatta. This afternoon we enjoyed the invitational race in a lovely SE breeze. Stand by for regatta updates as the weekend progresses.

Another beautiful day on Lake Macquarie. Some quiet patches along the way, a couple of oh-oh moments, and lots of great sunshine to enjoy.
