Saturday September 12th the team headed to the Murray Bridge Speedway for our first race meeting for the 2026/2027 Speedway season.
We have a large field of wingless, 38 including our three, Sharni, Mason and Robert.

HEAT 2. Robert P6, made up a couple of spots then drifted high on last lap to finish well in P5.

HEAT 3. Sharni P5 and Mason P7. What a race, people hitting walls and having mechanical issues. Mason was one of them that pulled infield with mechanical issues 😞. Sharni managed to stay out of all the drama and held on to finish P3 (only 3 finished).

HEAT 5. Robert P4. Front two were relegated back a row putting Robert out of P2 for restart. Robert took the lead but in turn 3 was tapped from behind sending him sideways and doing a drive through the infield shoot coming out of it dead last. He put in some great laps to finish P6.

HEAT 7. Mason P2 and Sharni P4. Mason hit the lead early and took the win🏁. Sharni got caught up a couple of times in crap sending her back a couple of spots then put in some tidy laps to finish P6.

BMAIN. Mason P2 and Robert P3. Great race by both with Robert finishing P2 and Mason P3.
This puts all three in the Amain

AMAIN. Sharni P15, Robert P18 & Mason P19.
What a race, all three drove well. Mason gave us a bit of scare with a car in front of him checked up and he rode a tyre. Sharni had a tussle with Leanne Turner for most of the race before she bit the bullet and took the high line to make a great pass then put in some fast laps finishing P13. Mason was right with Robert until he rode the tyre but then made some sport up to finish P10. Robert drove a very steady race making up 11 spots to finish P7.
A night of plenty of stoppage and first night dramas at the track.
Our team is pleased with how we went. Cars are straight and we all had fun.

Our next outing will be October long weekend at Timmis Speedway in Mildura. Not sure how many cars at this stage.

First laps of the season done 🏁

Sharni in the #96 and Mason in the #55 hit the track today for our first practice of the season!

A solid day getting some laps in, blowing out the cobwebs and getting comfortable back behind the wheel. Plenty to build on, but both cars felt good and we’re keen for what’s ahead 👊🏼
