π World Drowning Prevention Day π
Today our team proudly came together to support World Drowning Prevention Day and help spread the important message that drowning is preventable.
Our staff are encouraging everyone to stay safe around the water by remembering these simple but life-saving tips:
π¦ Always supervise children around water β keep them within armβs reach.
π Enrol yourself and your children in swimming and water safety lessons.
π Wear a lifejacket when boating, fishing or participating in water activities where appropriate.
π Never swim alone β always swim with a buddy and at patrolled locations where possible.
π« Avoid alcohol and drugs when swimming or supervising others around water.
β€οΈ Learn CPR β knowing what to do in an emergency can save a life.
Together, we can help prevent drowning and make our waterways safer for everyone.
A huge thank you to our amazing team for helping raise awareness today and for the incredible work they do every day to keep our community safe.

Waterways Adventure may be wrapping up, but the safety skills are here to stay.
From 25 - 31 July, weβre recapping the essential waterways safety knowledge and skills your child has been building; from awareness and decision-making to confidence in and around all types of waterways.
Waterways safety skills in action will include practising water safety in full clothing for real-world water confidence.
Every GOswim lesson throughout July has strengthened your child's ability to recognise risks, respond calmly, and stay safer wherever water takes them.

Today is World Drowning Prevention Day.
Today we join communities around the world in recognising the importance of drowning prevention and water safety awareness. The day serves as a reminder that drowning prevention is everyone's responsibility and that together we can help reduce preventable water-related
incidents.
Whether it's actively supervising children, learning CPR, enrolling in swimming lessons or simply sharing water safety messages, every action contributes to safer communities.
Let's continue working together to create safer experiences in and around the water.
π Anyone can drown, but no one should.
