✈️🇩🇪 GERMANY BOUND! 🥊🔥

Tomorrow — Kipa “Tha Ripa” Keremete and Luke “Maddest Dog” Morrison — pack their bags and head overseas as part of the Queensland vs Germany Boxing Tour 2026!

What an opportunity for these two. 👊

Kipa and Luke will proudly represent Queensland, Neon Boxing Academy, and the boxing community as they take on international opposition across three events in Germany:

🥊 Landshut – 30 August
🥊 Essen – 5 September
🥊 Hattingen – 6 September

Weeks of training, sparring, sacrifice and hard work have gone into getting to this point — and now it’s time for the boys to take it to the international stage. 🌏🥊

We couldn’t be prouder to have Tha Ripa & Maddest Dog flying the Neon flag in Germany. 🥨💚

And if you want to get behind the boys while they’re away, both Kipa and Luke have their own supporter tees available! 👕

Every tee purchased is another way of showing the boys that their community is behind them all the way from home.

🏆2026 International Golden Gloves 🏆

5 days of boxing at Nissan Arena. More than 900 athletes from across Australia and International teams from Japan, New Zealand and the Pacific Nations.

Big Wins! Some Gold. Some Silver. Lessons learnt. New friendships made. And a whole lot to be proud of our Team for.

🥇Sarah “Machine Gun” O’Shea - 2026 Golden Gloves Masters Champion
🥇Maddox “Money Man” McGregor - 2026 Golden Gloves Champion
🥈Zahara “Mad Cinderella” Lane - 2026 Golden Gloves Silver Medallist
🥈Oscar Curtis - 2026 Golden Gloves Silver Medallist

And some impressive performances across the week from Donna “The Don” Weston, Kipa “Tha Ripa” Keremete, Gene “The Machine” Keremete, Luke “Maddest Dog” Morrison and William “BXR Will” Turnbull.

Every one of the Neon team stepped into this tournament with something to challenge themselves with - different weight divisions, younger opponents, more experienced opponents and opponents at Olympic level.

Some came away with the result they wanted. Others came away with lessons that will be just as valuable.

One of the highlights away from the official competition was having some of the New Zealand crew come out to our gym for an early morning sparring session before Saturday’s finals. Thanks 💙💛 Woolston Boxing Club 💚

A massive thank you to every athlete who shared the ring with our boxers, and to their coaches and clubs. The level of competition across the five days was outstanding and we’re grateful for every round, every challenge and every opportunity.

And to our Neon crew - we are proud of the medals but even prouder of the way you represented your gym, supported one another and carried yourselves throughout the tournament!

No matter the result - we always leave better day by day by day!

GG 2026 - what an experience!
👊🏽Team Neon YOU ROCK!!!
